I checked in on Friday evening and was disappointed by the overall guest experience. The staff attending at check-in did not feel welcoming and there was a noticeable lack of warmth and hospitality. I understand the current pressures within the UAE hospitality industry, but the service level was below expectations for this category of hotel. Recently, I stayed at Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach, where although there was only one staff member handling check-in and the wait was longer, the service attitude was still warm, attentive, and professional. That made a significant difference to the overall experience. Unfortunately, the same lack of warmth continued during breakfast at Novotel Dubai World Trade Centre. Staff were often not visible, and when approached, some seemed unsure of what to do. The breakfast experience felt poorly coordinated and lacked the welcoming atmosphere guests would normally expect. I hope management can review the guest service standards and staff engagement, as improving warmth and attentiveness would greatly enhance the overall stay experience.
