Upon arrival for check-in after andovernight flight I was delighted to be told my room was ready as we were all tired. I upgraded to a suite on arrival which was well worth it and my boys thoroughly enjoyed having so much space. The facilities in and around the hotel were excellent and all the staff were so attentive to our needs. The pool area was large enough to get a sun bed no matter what time of the day it was. I would like to recommend that the sun loungers are upgraded or new covers as they were all a bit dirty looking and stained with suncreams etc. I only really had one complaint and that was that the buffet restaurant for dinner was only opened for the 3 days I was there instead of the 7 nights I had booked. I had previously emailed the hotel before my arrival to make sure everything was open and I was told yes. We were did manage to use my half board entitlement for room service but it's not the same as sitting in a restaurant and having lots to choose from. I also think that there should be complimentary water and soft drinks with your main evening meal as the price of cans of juice were far too expensive to be buying multiple rounds especially when there are young people with you who are always looking for a drink!! All in all a great experience and a fantastic hotel ❤️

Very shocking experience given the Fairmont brand - Serenity Spa is advertised online, and in room brochure from 11am-9pm. In reality, it's 12 noon to 9pm - hardly any pool staff to order food & drinks - pool ordering device doesn't work - unable to stream the World Cup to the room (!!!) HUGE disappointment for my husband and daughter - unable to have dinner in The Flow restaurant since it is now only open from Thurs-Sat but is not advertised as such on the website - Sports Bar is not open on Mon or Tues - not advertised as such on the website - Shower cubicles flooded in room 715 and 713 on the first night! - Room 715 sink water would not drain properly, likely blocked - Birthday cakes were in the room on the wrong dates despite email request and various face-to-face conversations The staff were lovely and friendly, but there is little they can do with the limited resources they have; felt sorry for them, they were always rushed off their feet
