A Wonderful Return to Fairmont The Palm
I recently returned to Fairmont The Palm and once again had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The hotel continues to offer a beautiful setting for relaxation, with the adults-only pool and beach being particular highlights of my visit.
The adults-only pool was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to switch off and enjoy the surroundings, while the beach provided an equally beautiful setting to soak up the sunshine and enjoy the stunning location.
What truly made my stay special, however, was the exceptional hospitality from the hotel team. It was lovely to be welcomed back by staff who remembered me from my visit last year. That personal recognition made me feel genuinely valued and added a special touch to the experience. The warmth, friendliness and attentiveness of the team are a real credit to the hotel and a big part of what makes returning so enjoyable.
There were, however, a couple of aspects that I felt were disappointing compared with my previous stay. The lack of furniture on the balcony was a shame, as a comfortable seating area would have made it much more inviting to sit outside and enjoy the views. I also missed the turndown service, which I had experienced during my stay last year and felt was a lovely finishing touch to the overall experience.
The only other issue I had I asked for permission to film some video for my holiday video and small YouTube channel using my pocket camera and did this at times of the day when it was quiet which was told was no problem. However the way the security spoke to me and said I couldn’t use my small camera was very disappointing considering I was trying to show case the hotel saying I could use a phone which was larger than my camera and disregarded that I had requested permission.
Despite these small disappointments, I had a wonderful stay and continue to appreciate the quality of the hotel, its beautiful surroundings and, above all, its outstanding staff. The fact that team members remembered me from my previous visit speaks volumes about the level of personal service and hospitality.
I would happily return to Fairmont The Palm and hope that the little touches that made my previous stay so special can be brought back, as they really do make a difference to the overall guest experience but currently with so many other hotels I’m unsure if that return will be anytime soon

We had booked this stay as a special birthday surprise for my girlfriend, but unfortunately, what should have been a memorable and enjoyable occasion turned into an extremely disappointing experience.
Despite having arranged everything in advance, including a birthday setup in the room, nothing was prepared upon our arrival. Furthermore, the room was in very poor condition and did not offer the promised sea view.
After approximately 90 minutes, the Duty Manager finally approached us and offered an alternative room. However, by that point, the experience and the birthday surprise had already been completely ruined. We therefore decided to check out after spending less than two hours at the property.
Following our departure, we contacted the hotel by email to explain our disappointment and enquire about the possibility of a refund. Unfortunately, despite the incident taking place last week, we have not received any response whatsoever.
As someone working in hospitality myself, I understand that mistakes can happen. However, the lack of preparation, failure to deliver what was booked, and complete absence of follow-up are simply unacceptable.
We sincerely hope that management will take this feedback seriously and provide an appropriate response, including consideration of a refund for a stay we were unable to enjoy.

I’ve been to Dubai many times and stayed at this hotel at least three or four times now the price of drinks around the pool is now unbelievable and the constant beat from the beach club most days makes for a very unpleasant stay. This alone will stop me returning to this hotel.

Food in main restaurant was really good something for everyone.
Room a bit dated, but extremely clean and towels and bedding changed daily
Adult pool was nice but we could never get a lounger in the sun due to towels being put on early morning and there are lots of palm trees so not always getting lots of sun. Went to the beach but there again couldn’t get any beds near to the front as they were taken or were saved as they had two towels on and we were on beach 4 hrs and about 4 single beds and 3 double cabanas were not taken. It did cheese you off when you had to sit so far back on the beach and i have a disability and would have appreciated to be closer to the sea. I dont agree to sunbeds being saved and you get people who sit down for minutes and then just leave their towels and dont return. I do think it needs to be manned and towels removed if not returned in the hour.

We had a wonderful experience. The entire stay was flawless, and the restaurants at the hotel were excellent. The staff provided exceptional service, and we certainly intend to return in the future. Our room faced the road and was very pleasant; however, there was some road noise. While this did not bother us, it could be an issue for those traveling with young children. The location was excellent, as there are several beach clubs located nearby.

Clean, comfortable room with good aircon, plenty of water, nice products. Great location. Beach club was nice but food menu was limited and overpriced. Pool area was disappointing- the pool beds were quite tatty, you had to get towels from a long way away (staff didn’t offer to get one for me) and the pool menu was also limited. The music from the beach club in front was crazy on Friday - couldn’t relax at all
