Generally speaking the whole experience was a miss and the justification that its difficult times and we are cutting cost is simply not acceptable: 1. Room was stuffy and very poorly maintained (had a clogged sink and shower) 2. Breakfast lacked variety and was below basic, only one type of vegetable, no cheese selection, and the egg station was a disgrace. 3. Shuttle bus was not operating as advertised and in fact that was one of the key perks to actually proceed with Novotel. 4. F&B: very poor selection and variety of F&B outlets, I was a willing spender and didn't have much to spend it on. 5. Pool: for 4 days of my total 9 days stay the pool was out of service, in May with templates at north of 40 degrees, how is that acceptable. 6. I was always mis informed of the benefits I get with my ALL membership, ended up paying full price on F&B when I had 20% off and ended up missing points on my purchases as I was never informed of the 3X points offer. On the good side, stuff were generally good, smiling, accommodating and sincere.

It was a nice experience staying in novotel dubai al barsha, the location is very convenient with supermarkets nearby and the view of burj al arab is very nice and relaxing.

HSKP threw away my items without consent, cleaning is not the best. IRD did not have a wine opener. Security has cero emotional intelligence or empathy. Front desk is a hit or miss.

We arrived at around 23:00, and the lobby was very busy with check-ins. After waiting for some time, the front desk assisted us with our check-in. I initially felt pleased to be recognized as a Silver member, and my request for a late checkout until 15:00 was confirmed. However, upon entering the room, we were disappointed to find that we had been assigned a twin-bed room with the beds pushed together and separate duvets, without any prior information. My reservation was clearly for a double/king bed room. We decided to accept the room and try to relax, but then found that the television was not working. We reported this to engineering at around 23:30. At approximately 23:40, we called room service, but no one answered despite several attempts. We then contacted the operator, who kindly assisted with taking our order and informed us that the IRD team would call back within 10 minutes to confirm. After waiting over 30 minutes with no callback, we called the operator again and were given the same assurance. Eventually, the IRD team called, and we waited nearly one hour for only a burger and club sandwich. After dinner, we attempted to rest at around 02:00. At that point, engineering rang our doorbell to check the television — nearly three hours after we had reported the issue. As it was already very late, we declined the service and tried to sleep. The following morning, at around 11:00, someone knocked once and then opened our room door. Fortunately, my partner had engaged the double-lock chain; otherwise, housekeeping would have entered while we were inside, which is completely unacceptable. I informed the staff member that our checkout time was at 15:00. He questioned why, and I explained that late checkout had been requested and confirmed by the front desk. We then called the front office to report the incident. We also requested not to be disturbed further as we wanted to rest. However, during checkout, no one asked about our stay, acknowledged the incidents, or extended any courtesy regarding the multiple service failures we experienced. Overall, this was a disappointing stay, especially considering the lack of communication, delayed service, and poor handling of guest concerns.
