Unfortunately, the negative experiences of my last visits were repeated. Despite multiple complaints, nothing has changed. As a Diamond member, I am neither recognized, nor greeted, nor treated with any special consideration. No status benefits are granted – just as on all previous visits. I stand in line at check-in like any other day guest. No priority check-in. No welcome. No thank you for my loyal Accor membership. The information I received over the phone that the lounge was open turned out to be false. At dinner in the lounge, instead of a small buffet, I was offered two biscuits. Outrageous! Comparing this hotel to all the other hotels in Abu Dhabi (Majlis, Mercure, Sofitel, Novotel Gate, etc.), one has to conclude that it disappoints with remarkable consistency.

I stayed at Novotel recently and had a mixed experience. The rooms are decent and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. I also found the room service to be quite good—prompt and helpful. However, the breakfast was a major disappointment. For a hotel of this caliber, the spread is very poor. There were only 5 to 6 items available, which were repeated every single day. To make matters worse, the taste was mediocre. You’ll likely feel disappointed by the breakfast options right from day one.

Our stay was somewhat distressing, primarily due to the circumstances surrounding our arrival and the subsequent service experience. We arrived during the early morning hours with our children, and unfortunately, there was no valet service available at the time. This resulted in an extended wait at the entrance without any assistance, which was particularly challenging given the late hour and our family situation. The matter had to be escalated to the duty manager before it was eventually addressed. Additionally, after check-in, we experienced a further delay in having the sofa bed prepared for our children. Despite repeated requests, we had to wait a considerable amount of time, and this issue also required escalation to the duty manager before it was resolved. The prolonged wait disrupted our children’s rest and added to the overall inconvenience. These service lapses significantly impacted our arrival experience and fell short of the expected standards of hospitality. We hope this feedback will be taken constructively to improve responsiveness and service availability, particularly during off-peak hours, to ensure a more seamless and comfortable experience for future guests.
