Dear Novotel Management Team, I would like to begin by expressing my sincere appreciation to Mr. Saleh at the reception for his kind attitude, constant smile, and cooperation. Unfortunately, I must state that I am completely dissatisfied with my stay at the hotel, which lasted for three days and was intended as a special surprise for my wife and daughter on the occasion of their birthdays. One day prior to arrival, I contacted the hotel to request a birthday cake with my wife’s and daughter’s names written on it, along with some decorations, and I confirmed that I was willing to pay for it. I was informed by one of the staff members that no payment was required and that this gesture would be complimentary from the hotel. Upon arrival and entering the room, I was surprised to find no cake, only balloons and a towel folded to resemble a cake. I immediately contacted the reception and was assured that the cake would be sent to the room. We waited in the room from 2:30 PM until 9:00 PM, but unfortunately, nothing was delivered. When we later went to the reception and informed the staff that we would be going out to celebrate, we were told that the cake would be delivered upon our return to the room. Indeed, when we returned to the hotel at 1:00 AM, I contacted reception again. What was delivered was extremely disappointing: a very small piece of cake on a small plate, with no names written at all, only the words “Happy Birthday” written on the plate. It appeared to be a pre-prepared item and clearly not what had been agreed upon. This negligence and lack of coordination completely ruined the surprise for my family, which was extremely upsetting and unacceptable for a hotel with the reputation and standards of Novotel. Additionally, when we left the hotel at night, housekeeping staff were informed to clean the room and change the bedding. Upon our return, while the room had been cleaned and the bedding changed, the bedding was extremely dirty. Photos were shared with Mr. Saleh at the reception, and the matter was escalated to the housekeeping manager or supervisor. The response we received was that “during the next booking, the room would be better prepared.” It would have been more appropriate to acknowledge the mistake and offer compensation, rather than suggesting better service on a future stay that I clearly would not consider. I clearly stated that there would be no future booking at this hotel. Furthermore, on the morning of our checkout, we contacted reception to request a bottle of water to prepare milk for our children. After waiting more than three hours, the water was still not delivered. I eventually left the room and spoke directly with a housekeeping staff member, who kindly brought the bottle of water within ten minutes. Sadly, I deeply regret choosing this hotel, especially given the importance and sensitivity of this family occasion. I expected a level of service that reflects the name and reputation of Novotel, which unfortunately was not met.

We are here for two weeks, and overall the services have been very good—especially at the restaurant during breakfast. Helene Rio was absolutely brilliant, always attentive and ready to help whenever we needed something. Sagar who takes care of our room was also very good. However, our arrival experience was quite disappointing. We arrived "early" on Sunday morning, and although the company had booked our room starting Saturday, it didn’t seem to be ready. The receptionist told us to go have breakfast while he prepared the papers. We were exhausted from our trip and hadn’t slept at all, so eating was the last thing we wanted. We simply needed to rest. When we returned to reception, the staff member was no longer there, and the paperwork still wasn’t done. When we finally received our room, we immediately noticed a strong smell. I am sensitive to odors, and even my husband, who usually isn’t—found it unpleasant. They had given us a smoking room. My husband went down to request a room change, and we had to wait again. The smell was giving us a headache, so he went down the second time as we were waiting already for so long. He is usually very calm, but this time he complained that the room should have been ready when we arrived, yet the receptionist gave a V‑E‑R‑Y unreasonable explanation— miss, we weren’t born yesterday. In the end, we only got our proper room close to noon, already tired and with a headache. And again, the room had been booked since Saturday.

After I checken in online I arrived at the hotel at 2:20 in the morning after a delayed flight only to be told that my reservation was cancelled by “the system”. No email notification- nothing!
