Everything was mostly great. We were in awe of the mesmerizing interior designs. Beats a ton of 5 star hotels. Service was overall great. Staff were very friendly and proactive. Just a couple of points for your reference which might help you improve: - The entrance and parking situation and the construction site beside was a hassle for smooth entry and exit.This could be the only reason that would prevent me from revisiting the hotel again if the issue presists. Hope it is a temporaty situation. Also on a relevant note, the valet took quite long to bring the car in most of the times. - Body wash and Shampoo were empty in the toilet, which should have been checked ahead. Also, a lot of dirt/coloured water came out of some of the faucets when they were turned on. - If I am not mistaken, the qibla marker on the cieling is pointing to a completely wrong direction (wrong by 45 degrees). We coincidentally checeked two different apps and concluded that the direction provided is completely wrong. So it would be great if you can have it checked because it is a serious matter. We were in room 1307. - The breakfast was a little disappointing in terms of taste, quality and variety. We skipped the second day's breakfast eventhough it was paid for.

I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It had complete amenities, which made everything convenient and enjoyable. Overall, it was a relaxing experience, and I would definitely recommend this place.

It was a moderate stay at Mercure Abu Dhabi Downtown. The suite itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a good layout and decent amenities. Housekeeping did a solid job, and overall cleanliness met expectations. The breakfast was acceptable with a reasonable variety, while the dinner experience was actually above expectations in terms of quality and taste. However, there were several disappointing aspects that impacted the overall experience. As an Accor Diamond member, it was surprising and frustrating that breakfast is only complimentary on weekends and must be paid for during weekdays. This policy feels inconsistent with the recognition and benefits typically associated with this loyalty tier, especially when compared to other Accor properties. More concerning was the experience with the reception staff. Despite having a confirmed booking extension in the system, I received repeated calls requesting payment confirmation. These interruptions occurred multiple times and felt unnecessary, as the information was already available on their end. Instead of enhancing the guest experience, this gave the impression that the primary focus was on billing rather than on service and guest satisfaction. The communication from the front desk could have been handled in a more professional and discreet manner. Constant follow-ups for payment, especially when already arranged, created an uncomfortable and somewhat pressured atmosphere. For a returning and loyal guest, this approach feels misaligned with expected hospitality standards. In summary, while the room and dining aspects were positive, the lack of proper recognition of loyalty status and the repeated disturbances from reception significantly affected the stay. Unfortunately, the overall experience felt impersonal and not in line with what one would expect from a brand that emphasizes guest loyalty.
