Having stayed at Sofitel Abu Dhabi many times, it is disappointing to see how the guest experience has changed over the past year.
Following management and staff changes, the warm and personal welcome that once made this hotel special has largely disappeared. Check-in now feels rather impersonal, and recognition of loyal Accor ALL members has noticeably declined.
The continued closure of the Club Lounge, despite its renovation appearing to have been completed some time ago, is equally disappointing. The Jazz & Fizz Bar also remained closed for an extended period.
Sofitel Abu Dhabi still has great potential, but I sincerely hope the management will restore the welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and appreciation of loyal guests that once made this hotel stand out.

We arrived exhausted after a long flight, only to have the staff member handling our check-in stop midway, put us on hold, and begin assisting another guest. I was standing there holding my child the entire time, which made no difference to him. It was a poor first impression and showed a real lack of consideration for guests, particularly families travelling with young children.

The hotel location is good. Staff are very helpful and friendly especially house keeping staff. Hotel linens were not very clean, my bed cover had a huge stain and the linens did not smell good. Breakfast was good but dinner was below average.

This hotel stay was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had, and was not the standard expected of a Sofitel. From the booking experience to the shoddy cleaning and extremely slow service to a dysfunctional AC and a lack of genuine effort to do anything about it to a squeaky mattress, I was happy to check out.

Very unhappy with the overall experience during my stay at the hotel even as a Accor Gold member , for the price what we pay it’s not at all worth it , we have soo many other options to look for which give great value for what we pay,
From the start the rooms were not clean and few items were missing during check in at the room, they take a lot of time to provide anything like water , toiletry, towel etc , you need to call them 3 times then only they will come and give the items , THE HOTEL IS 15 YEARS OLD, so shower doesn’t work properly so does many other things since it’s a old hotel.
Breakfast comes with very less options , with NO STAFF TO HELP AND EVEN THEY DONT REFIL THINGS WHICH ARE OVER .
My assumption is they have very very little staff who are running the hotel but the SOFITEL BRAND can’t be given to this hotel . SOFITEL BRAND MEANS LUXURY which this hotel lacks . It lacks service for the customer not a 5 star hotel.

Very bad room, smelly, toilet flush was not working, noisy. Reception staff (Richard) was not helpful at all and ignored my calls & I had to call him few times to get things sorted & eventually I spoke to the duty manger at the end. This took many hours
