I like this hotel very much and return every year. There is a shopping centre nearby and the tram from outside the hotel will take you to the city-centre or to connect with the Metro. The restaurant in the adjoining Ibis is superb. The staff are welcoming and attentive and the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed.

The Novotel Suites Marseille is modern, offers a reasonable breakfast, and the staff is very attentive. However, although the room is suitable for 3 people and has an excellent view of the port, the bathroom is really very bad; it feels like being in a ship's cabin, and the shower stall has a simple curtain that floods the entire bathroom floor – neither practical nor pleasant.

I had a difficult experience in Marseille when my car window was smashed and a bag was stolen. However, the exceptional care I received from this hotel’s staff truly made a difference. A young woman at the front desk (on the morning of December 6th) guided me step-by-step through the process—from filing a police report to helping me temporarily seal the broken window with tape. Her kindness and professionalism turned a stressful situation into a moment of genuine human warmth. In the rush of the moment, I didn’t get her name, which I deeply regret. A reminder to fellow travelers: please never leave any luggage visible in your car. Despite the incident, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel because when you need help, their staff truly goes above and beyond. Thank you especially to that wonderful, unnamed receptionist.
