Overall it was a good experience. On the downside, when I arrived on Sunday evening shortly after 10pm, there was nothing to eat, and I was advised to order on UberEats.

Hotel is well located and laid out, rooms are quiet. Breakfast room is not very well laid out for the volume of (business) people all more or less coming in the same time frame. Check in and out capacity of only 2 desks is too small and causes long waiting times at typical business traveller arrival and departure moments.

My stay isn’t the normal for most people. When I come to Paris, I stay for a month. Everyone is so nice and they treat us like family. It really is one of the best hotels I stay in each year.

Leaves a lot to be desires

I've stayed in multiple Mercure hotels over the years, and this was my second time at the Mercure in Boulogne. Seems like the quality of the brand is going down year after year. Check in: The check in process was unpleasant. The person working the front desk was unfriendly, seemed unfamiliar with the process, wanted to block my credit card for 2000 EUR on top of the 1500 EUR cash payment we were going to give, and forgot to return my passport to me (I had to remind him, and he looked at me as if he had no clue what I was talking about, until he found it under some documents). Room: The room was nice and the beds comfortable, but the tea, coffee and milk were not replenished (we called the reception at least three times during our week-long stay, to ask for tea). We also had to repeatedly ask for a hand towel (they said they do not provide one on principle, they only provide face and body towels). The shampoo/body wash is terrible when used as shampoo and leaves hair horribly tangled. The water tap is placed on the corner of the bathroom sink and the water falls only about an inch from the sink's edge, meaning we bumped our fingers on the sink every time we washed our hands, and splashed water all over the counter. Overall I would not recommend staying there, at least not with the expensive room prices, during the Roland Garros tournament. The only good point of this hotel is that it is about 2km, or 20-25 min walk, from the Roland Garros venue.
