Well located, with a comfortable stay. The air conditioning works very well, which, in my opinion, is essential during the summer. It's not enough to just have air conditioning — it needs to be properly maintained and working correctly. The receptionist, Edna, speaks Portuguese and is an amazing person, just like her colleague. Edna is the soul of this place — she goes out of her way to help everyone with empathy and kindness. Without her, this place wouldn't be the same. We will never forget her or the attention she gave us. It's hard to find people like her in the world today. The Ibis wouldn't be the same without her. I had read the reviews of Ibis before making my reservation, and I chose this location, Porte d'Italie, precisely because of the positive comments. At another location I researched, the staff were rude and unhelpful, which made me choose this one instead — and the experience was excellent.

Although the rooms were too smal that we couldn't open our suitcases easily. rest everything ws good. nice bathroom, good internet speed, helpful staff etc. we booked a 3 bed room and i found it was not easy to climb the bunk bed for a child. even for an adult it was clumsy. but bed was comfortable. overall satisfied with the stay.

uring our stay, most aspects of the hotel were acceptable and met expectations for a budget hotel. However, our experience with the reception staff was very disappointing and significantly affected our overall stay. When we arrived, there was a small booking issue on my side — I had mistakenly selected one guest instead of two while booking online. I fully acknowledge this was my mistake. However, the receptionist handled the situation in a very rude and dismissive manner, which was unnecessary. Thankfully, the hotel manager later stepped in and handled the situation professionally. He explained that there was only a small difference (around €10) and that one breakfast had already been paid for one day. He suggested that we could simply pay the remaining amount for one additional breakfast, which we agreed to without hesitation. However, on the morning of our departure, the situation escalated again at reception. The staff member on duty spoke to us in an extremely disrespectful and confrontational way, refusing to listen and insisting that we could not proceed without payment, despite our previous agreement. We tried to explain the situation for nearly 30 minutes. During this time, my brother felt unwell due to not having breakfast, which made the situation even more stressful. We repeatedly said we were happy to pay whatever amount was required, but communication was unnecessarily difficult. Eventually, the receptionist contacted the manager again, who clarified the situation — but no apology was offered for the way we were treated. This kind of behaviour from front desk staff is not acceptable. While the rest of the stay was fine, the attitude and lack of basic courtesy from reception left a very negative impression. I would not choose to stay here again, nor would I recommend it based on this experience.

Upon arrival we were given heaters as the heating was not working in the building. Also the second day the lifts were not working due to to a power shortage. We were told it was due to the rain, then later by the manager by the city shortage. The manager had a bit of an attitude

Thank you for your feedback. We had a heating breakdown on Thursday afternoon and it was fixed 48 hours later on Saturday afternoon (the average delay for this type of breakdown is about 1 week). The power shortage was really due to the rain (40 minutes of shortage). We apologize for those troubles. You have seen my assistant and i don't think he had a bit of an attitude. Best Regards.
