Very nice week at Hôtel Mercure Caen Cote De Nacre. The staff has been very nice and helpful during this Christmas week. It was a pleasure to enjoy this very calm place outside the city center.

Our stay was fine. We were passing through and needed somewhere easy to find outside of the city. Unfortunately the week before we arrived they emailed us to advise the restaurant was closed. Not the end of the world, but unfortunately the only place nearby to eat appears to be a McDonalds. Considering there were only 5 cars in the car park our room was a surprisingly long walk from reception. I cannot believe that many guests walked or cycled. It would have been nice to have been able to open a window securely. The weather was neither here nor there temperature wise, so it made the room a bit warm. Being on the ground floor it would have been nice if there had been some way of securing the window open whilst we slept.
