Staff is polite and helpful. Rooms need to refurbished, looks a bit outdated. For a 4* hotel it hasn't got the charm, we came here for leisure and it looked more business oriented.

Room it’s self was very good size wise. Bathroom very spacious too. The shower wasn’t very good. Massive tray but the shower head was squeezed into the corner, making showering hard. The grout and sealant were extremely mouldy, and needed a decent clean. A/C. was non existent, window opened nice and wide, but being on ground floor felt a bit vulnerable leaving it open, this did result in midges coming in and left us with massive bites! (Not that the hotel can do anything about these unwanted guests! But could about the a/C. which I set to 17 but didn’t come on. The restaurant was very disappointing on the evening, I chose it because the photo gallery showed lovely dishes, however there was very little to choose from, we both had burgers, which were ok (the veggie one was a solid lump of faux meat, which had no flavour and awful texture) dessert was ok, but very synthetic. Breakfast was on the other hand very good, with lots to choose from and very tasty and well presented. Staff were helpful and friendly on the whole (one chap in the restaurant on the evening did let the side down a bit, but the other 2 chaps on that night were lovely. Reception and morning restaurant staff were so helpful and cheery. We regularly travel for work and pleasure and have stayed in many hotels before, I liked this place, but didn’t really feel it was that good of value for money compared to cheaper options in the group.

Hotel and staff okay, but needed to have the Restaurant open on the Friday and Saturday evenings. It was extremely annoying to say the least to find that the Kitchen Staff and waiting Staff were able to serve TWO COACH LOADS of German/Belgian customers, whilst we had to search for another restaurant thus having to go out of the hotel, driving, therefore no wine or aperitif with the meal. Having been out and walking round the tourist spots - Churches etc. we elderly people like to come back to the hotel and spend the evening relaxing. We did have an e-mail two days prior to leaving home but that was to That was too late to re-organise our short trip. Our itinary was sorted on 2 May 2024 when we made the booking. I feel that we were short changed. Breakfast was OK but may have been in the Warming pots a good while. Will need to check thoroughly before making any future booking. Used an Ibis on way home and restaurant was open and food very good!!! Your reply will be awaited with interest. Yours sincerely Graham L.

Only tourist groups can be served as it requires much less preparation and therefore fewer staff. We understand the frustration of having to seek alternative dining options outside the hotel.
