Slept very well, comfortable bed. Breakfast very satisfying. Room a bit challenging to warm up, on the chilly side for my wife even with the temp at max 25°. Full compliment of drinks included with the privilege room. Nice

We arrived on Sunday late afternoon the restaurant was closed which was very surprising for a luxury hotel BUT the receptionist suggested delivero. We ordered an Indian I went down stairs to see the same receptionist and asked if I could have some forks she popped of came back with plates knives and forks and said you are welcome to eat in the bar if you want to The food arrived and we ate in our comfortable room.. I would say that the receptionist was excellent and she is a very good advert for your hotel....

I visitted the hotel for couple of days. The hotel is not in the centre but it is very well communicated by tram, which runs frequently and it takes only 15 mins to the centre of Caen. People working in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is not the newest, and one can see that in the rooms and facilities, it is clean and very comfortable. The special attention needs to go to the restaurant: the cuisin is exeptional and it is a pity, that the restaurant is closed on the weekends.

The hotel is perfect apart from not providing an evening meal at weekends despite advertising this service.

Indeed, when you booked on August, th erestaurant was opend on week-end. But as each year, we close on week-end from September until mid-June because of low-activity (and we miss staff this year...). We change our shedules on our website but we have no newletter to inform all clients. We hope that you enjoyed the drinks we offer you to apologize. The hotel is a scam. By creating a presentable lobby, it has managed to pass itself as a Mercure, which gets a 4* rating in France. But the rooms, the corridor, and the bathroom is smelly, dilapidated, and is falling apart. Dirty, disgusting carpet in the room. Even touching door knobs makes you feel dirty. The corridor leading to the rooms is falling apart, paint chipping off the walls and broken doors and windows. The room is just dirty and cheap, more like a 1 star hotel. The bathroom was bearable, but still had an old toilet and the sink area was dirty. Downgrade this to Ibis Budget.

This hotel is a scam. Deceptive lobby leading to road motel style accommodation. Corridors are filthy and dilapidated, room carpet might give you foot fungus, and the bedding is terrible and uncomfortable. It is a 2 star hotel which has managed to gain a 4 star rating by adding a good looking lobby.

Car parking is free, well lit up at night and protected by a security barrier. The room was immaculately clean with a modern ensuite. The bed was comfortable and there was a television, telephone and charger point in the room, also tea/coffee making facilities. I arrived late at night, during the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff were friendly and professional, I felt safe, secure and comfortable throughout my stay. I was offered the opportunity to make a request to the hotel during my online booking, I was travelling with a disabled passenger, I asked to be situated on the ground floor, I was given a very conveniently situated room, close to the reception area and the main front doors. I felt that the staff were kind and caring.

This is a reliable well located Mercure on the edge of Caen. We have used it in successive years from the afternoon ferry from Portsmouth. Decent rooms, relaxed plentiful breakfast, good secure parking, ideal access to the road network for onward travel. Splendid!

Good location for the ferry but have to drive to restaurants and to tourist sights. Probably best for an overnight stay rather than a longer holiday. It is the equivalent of a Premier Inn in the UK. Breakfast was OK.

The hotel is excellent. We were made welcome once we arrived and our room was comfortable,well appointed and quiet.Restaurant facilities were good and we were offered a reasonable choice of wines We had a problem finding the hotel. Having left the periphique at junction four we followed two Mercure signed which took us past the Tram Stop. Then no further signs for about two k. so we turned back. A resident took us to an Ibis Hotel and we were given route to the Mercure which we found -eventually.We still have an old directory of Ibis Hotels which give excellent advice on routes to take. Possibly this Mercure Hotel could provide a clear street map showing the route from a starting point e.g. exit 4 on the periphique..

Hotel Mercure 2 place Boston 14200 Hérouville Saint Clair is the exit n ° 5 on the northern periphery that must be taken. As always a warm welcome & comfortable room. Good quality bedding & towels. Tv & WIFI good reception & speed. We did not have breakfast on this occasion, but have done in the past & it is always very good value with plenty of choice. The staff are very efficient & nothing is too much trouble. This is also a good option for catching the early ferry & a packed breakfast can be ordered.

The hotel closed the restaurant the night we stayed and with the hotel being in the middle of huge roadworks it was difficult to consider walking to the nearest restaurant some 10 to 15 minutes away. That is if we wanted to negotiate the roadworks. If the hotel had informed us of the problems we would definitely stayed somewhere else! Be honest in future please. We have stayed in Mercure hotels many times over the years so this is not the norm

Very friendly staff & warm welcome. The receptionist personally checked that our room was ready. Very well appointed standard room with plenty of space. Comfortable bed , good quality bed linen. Free good wifi connection. Bathroom spotless with good shower & plenty of hot water. Could not fault.Buffet breakfast also plentiful despite presence of coach parties. Easy access for ferry at Ouisterham, 15 mins

We arrived by car from the ferry and found the hotel very easily. The parking was convenient and the rooms and facilities excellent. We did not dine in the restaurant, but did enjoy a very good breakfast the following morning before checking out. There did appear to be a number of coach parties using the hotel, but these did not cause us any problems and had left before we breakfasted!!
