The inside of our pillows was full of hair. The person who recived us on arrival was unfriendly and seemed bored dealing with us. The breakfast had a good variety, but some items weren't fresh.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hôtel Mercure Caen. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, which made settling in easy and relaxing. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive. Tom was especially helpful, nothing being too much trouble for him - from check-in to breakfast service — which made an enormous difference to the overall experience. Breakfast was varied and tasty, and it was great to have a satisfying meal before heading out for the day. The juices were amazing! The location worked well for us: free, secure parking and easy access to Caen with a short drive to local attractions including the ferry terminal and nearby beaches. Overall, this hotel combines comfort, convenient location, and welcoming service — we would happily recommend it and will stay here again.
