Mr O., Firts of all, we are glad to read that you found your accomodation clean and perfectly functional. About breakfast time, indeed, it stats at 7:30 am during the weekend and 6:30 am during the week. We are sorry to understand that you could'nt enjoyed it because of the early ferry. However, I am surprised to read that you could'nt find sleep because of a light in your room. Next time, do not hesitate to contact us, so we could help you to solve this problem. Two issues. Whilst the accommodation was clean and perfectly functional, it was surprising that in a stop over hotel like this, breakfast didn't start until 7.30, which was too late for anyone seeking an early start with a journey (we were getting the ferry and had to check in by 745 latest). More importantly, the rooms contained a security light which glowed blue but flashed, brightly, periodically. In one room this had been partly tapes over so was inconvenient rather than anything worse but in the other room it was too bright and seriously inpacted on sleep for my wife and our 6 year old daughter. This was completely unsatisfactory. The common areas, whilst clean, could do with some updating.

This, hotel was basic but functional. Our group was staying for four nights, on a, motorcycle trip to visit the D day beaches. On my last night, there were a group of school age children staying and they were running around until 1am. It was very hot and there is no air conditioning.

I arrived late and set off early. The manager was present. He was outgoing and friendly. Room was generally as expected but could have been a touch cleaner.

On our late (planned) arrival, after battling through the un-manned gate and un-manned reception process and climbing stairs to the room, we found that we had a small, awkwardly-shaped room that was far too warm for comfort. It looked as though the aircon system was no longer in use and a tiny electric fan had replaced it. Other aspects of the hotel suggested inadequate maintenance. The room was too hot for a decent night's sleep. Breakfast was fine. The next night, we were in another Ibis Budget hotel, which was cooled, well-maintained and totally different.

This was a perfect stop en route from the ferry to our destination. The staff had been very helpful via email beforehand and in the morning providing breakfast. The room was basic but spotless

Good points: Reception is very friendly and efficient. Compound was secure. Bad points: Bedding smelled. Room was very hot (it was February!). Shower did not hook onto wall. No light switch near to the door (so unable to turn off lights when leaving as requested). Would not stay here again despite it being relatively inexpensive.
