Welcome personnel was visibly unconcerned, as friendly as an administration. The man at the desk was perhaps not the right person for the job. No help for luggage offered, no second card offered - I had to ask -, no map or guide or leaflet available about the city and surroundings. Room unremarkable, tiny, not even a bottle of water offered - would be better off in a Travelodge -. Had to pay the car park for the night at an outrageous rate of 16 euros. The breakfast was high and low, fresh fruits were excellent, croissants were awful (probably industrial), the disgusting budget ham I would not give to my dog, the cheese was very good, no decaf coffee available. All in all, a Mercure hotel which should not even be ranked as an Ibis.

For a 4 star hotel few things were missing - room service (everything you ask was a self service) - Sofa bed was slightly uncomfortable - Parking should have been free but wasn’t - Gym wasn’t great, lacked basic equipments - Lack of drinking water provided in the room

First day breakfast service was excellent, good choice of promoted artisan bread and pastries, due to large coach trips breakfasting early in the morning, very little choice for later (08.30) people, only ends of baguettes and other bits and pieces of breads and pastries. No cups for beverage or glasses for orange juice, milk in the machine run out and not refilled (although requested. The Hotel itself is lovely, very clean, great staff, brilliant location, with bars and restaurants close by. Will definitely return (without the breakfast).

The room was pleasant but small and the one window was tiny room 340. First night house keeping missed us, clean towels and an apology was given by staff. I was pver charged for breakfast ie charged for everyday we stayed rather than the days we took breakfast. Thiscwas charged to my credit card before given chance to check and now i wait for a refund. The staff were very good judt a bit more care. The guy working the bar was excellent and deserves praise.
