The hotel is lovely and clean and, although a little bit differently set up than what we're used to in the U.S., very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and want to thank the staff for their hospitality and attention. While there were a few small hiccups, and not all were the hotel's fault but the area we were in, the hotel staff were on top of every request we made. Even with our limited Portuguese, (a lot of the staff did speak English) they were wonderful and patient and ready with translation apps to be able to help with any question.

For my luck there was no running water due to a small rain storm and they did not offer a cleaning service on Sunday I’m not sure if it was because the water or they take a day off on Sundays My room was not Cleaned, I had to ask for clean towels

Staff very friendly, but hotel is getting old and in need of renovations

I have stayed in this hotel before and never had issues. This time, though, everything seems to be getting too old, outdated and not working properly. Besides everything looking really old (furniture, flooring, bathroom tiles), the TV in both living room and bedroom had the remote control not working very well. You had to press the same button multiple times to have it work. Also, the room I stayed had a small kitchen, but no detergent and sponge to wash the dishes. It has a stove, but no pans to use on it. I don't believe you expect the hotel guest to bring these to the hotel with them. I have nothing to complain about hotel staff that was really friendly and helpful.
