What a fantastic hotel from start to finish. Great location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast ( even a large vegan section ) and beautifully decorated.... they even have a bath menu!!! I had contacted the manager Umut who arranged our guest rooms, transportation and a flawless check in, dinner recommendations. We enjoyed it all!! Being an avid traveler service like this is exceptionally rare and so very much appreciated. Thank you Umut and team for a fabulous holiday. We will be back and will recommend this hotel hands down!

This was a beautiful hotel located next to the main Munich train station. Excellent breakfast and good service. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the Christmas market. The room was very clean and roomy. Wonderful stay

A lovely hotel located within an old post office. Extremely convenient access to both trains and subways as it is adjacent to the Munich hbf, but zero road or train noise in our room even with the window open at night. Very well decorated and pleasant lobby leads to an event space. The bar next to the lobby provided excellent service as well as tasty drinks from hot cocoa for the kid to Moscow mules for our older children. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Clean, comfortable, and excellent bed comfort lead to a pleasurable experience after both our extended day of travel from the States as well as our daily jaunts to nearby cities by train. The team at Munich Bayerposf were professional as well as kind and helpful! We had no immediate concerns during our visit, but what few questions or needs we had were addressed promptly and succinctly. We used the hotel as a base point for our travels to Nuremberg, Salzburg, and Landsberg during our short stay to explore the area. Our older children were taken care of very well in an adjacent family room that allowed us to spread out a bit more. This was very conveniently priced with their family room package offered through the website. While I'm sure there are other fine establishments in or near old town Munich, I believe Sofitel Bayerpost provided our family with an excellent and most comfortable stay which increased our exploration times while still provided a far above average place to relax and recoup from our daily adventures. Staff were very helpful and polite to us all and at all hours. Highly recommend this location for families and couples traveling but not needing to stay in the hotel much. Many amenities we simply did not have time to enjoy fully.

Lovely hotel although staff not too attentive asked for more milk in room it never arrived & reception always busy/queue. Room backed onto building works so noisy
