The bed is the main advantage of Sofitel, but the room and the buildings suffer some use. Lots of stains on the walls even in the room. Breakfast ok, employees swearing at egg counter. Priority line not respected at check in

The District Court of Deggendorf had an arrangement with the Sofitel in Munich that they will pay for all the arrangements and took permission to pay “after” my stay via transfer of funds and took another permission to avoid paying in credit card. But due to unforeseen events I had to postpone the dates for a couple of dates and the Sofitel still get permission from the authorised person from the court for the date changes. Sofitel made problems and demanded credit card as a guarantee even though the court had already gotten permission to avoid the credit card procedure. Anyways I paid for my stay in cash and in advance. On my check out I was asked to pay for extras which I did. I was asked to pay for breakfast in the room but I argued that I had already paid for a bed and breakfast rate and there was no statement stating that this rate includes only breakfast in the buffet. So the gentleman at the reception waived off the breakfast cost. I also received a letter from the hotel in my check in stating that because of my membership I get to get : Complimentary Breakfast for two for the entire stay AND USD100 discount on all extras. BUT Sofitel charged my credit card AFTER I had paid and check out for extras that were not even told me and under the pretext that I did not pay for breakfast and that I didn’t pay for a dinner which both are very covered by my membership perks! Horrible experience and I want my money back.
