The ibis budget is located on the north side of Fribourg, 15 mins from the station via Line 1 bus and easily accessible by road from the A12 north exit. It's a great base for exploring the area (Fribourg old town, Gruyère, Lake Murten), with air-conditioned rooms, including 2 PRM, and ideal for families, groups and individuals.

Reception is open 24 hours a day. Breakfast (16 CHF p.p.) is served from 6.30am. The bar is open until 11pm, and snacks are available at any time. Parking spaces available for motor vehicles (12.00 CHF/day) and a free secure bicycle garage for cyclists.

I spent one day on a business trip in this hotel. My room was stinking after cigarettes and very bad. In the bathroom it was stinking after urine. I had a very bad sleep, as the pillow was uncomfortable and the room was super loud of the cars starting from 4 am. A complete renovation would be necessary. There could be a better job done in cleaning and creating a fresh air and nice stay for guests. Breakfast was good though the only positive thing I can mention.

Thank you for your honest feedback after your one-night business stay with us. We’re genuinely glad that the breakfast was to your liking – it’s one of the highlights we really take pride in! However, we are truly sorry that your experience was spoiled by the strong cigarette and urine smells in the room and bathroom, the very loud traffic noise starting as early as 4 am, and the uncomfortable pillow that prevented you from sleeping well. Your comment about the need for a complete renovation and much better cleaning / fresh air is well taken and we take it very seriously. Thank you for pointing these issues out – it really helps us to get better.

Very satisfactory stay in this comfortable, clean hotel. Particularly appreciate: sufficient number of electrical outlet, no adapters needed to plug round plugs ( such as our own kettle), perfectly clean bathroom with well functioning shower.
