This “hospitality” experience was abysmal, even for Swiss standards which are pretty low to begin with. The junior suite we paid for was said to be ready at 14:00 but it took another 90 minutes before we could access the room around 15:30. We were offered free access to the minibar as compensation for the delay but minibar selection was laughable, consisting of 4 warm beverages and a single Ragusa bar. The employees kept mentioning the hotel was “4 stars” yet the quality of the building was dingy and in disrepair. One of the sinks in the suite drained frustratingly slowly and the carpet had sand or some kind of dirt that got on our feet. The mattress was decently comfortable, which was the only positive about the suite. I have honestly spent nights in cheap Holiday Inns that were cleaner and more pleasant than this Novotel location. IF I ever choose to stay with an AllAccor property in Bern again, I will choose the IBIS budget option; at least my expectations will be low and I won’t be deeply disappointed by broken promises of “luxury”.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the location was excellent — with free tram access that made getting to the Old Town quick and easy. Parking was available on-site, which was ideal for our VW camper and made arrival and departure very straightforward. Overall, a comfortable stay in a convenient spot with good amenities.

Poor management. Not up to the 4 star hotel ranking as others in that area. Management needs to improve and communicate very well within team so customer do not face trouble and get the right service and food they paid for the stay, specifically when they visit from abroad.

The staff on arrival were fantastic. There was no food available in the restaurant from our arrival at 6pm. We could order food but had to eat outside, disappointing. I wanted to take breakfast to my daughter and wife in the room (toast and coffee only) but was not allowed. The escape room was excellent. Everything else was good.

Well located, easy access to the main tourist spot, lovely kind staff. Overall very satisfied. Only one downside was the parking lot. I think it's a bit too small to accommodate all the cars. We definitely want to come back to the same hotel. Highly recommend

Family room for 4, but small and tight for 4 persons. Advertised as having aircon, but couldn’t drop temperature lower and was very warm over night. When I asked at reception about lowering the aircon, was told it’s not aircon but climatic? therefore couldn’t lower temperature any more. Stylish rooms, but again, small for a family.

The staff was great in booking me in and trying to assist me. I also overheard that a number of staff were out due sick, which could not be controlled. Our concerns were: 1. Dirty smell of the carpet 2. The panel to flush the toilet fell into the toilet. (Pictures were taken and shared with the staff) 3. The door to the shower and sinks was stuck when opening and closing it. The swelling at the bottom of the door looks like past water damage. 4. When my wife placed her head on her pillow, she said it smelled rancid. Due to there concerned on what we noticed, what else was missing. My wife could not sleep properly, and we got up at first light and left tired.

Very moderne and well kept hotel. Large family room with good beds. Great and friendly service and nice breakfast-buffet (kids are free) Travelpass for public transport included. Note: it is not downtown Bern, but walking distance and the tram is just outside the door.

Location was good. AC worked better than other European hotels. Checkin and checkout was good too. No refrigeratior or microwave in the room. You even have to pay for Ice.
