Ibis budget have been using the same detergent for decades. What was good 35 years ago is no good anymore. It gives the whole room the smell of office lavatories. It is also time to change the bed sheets more often. My bed sheets had small holes in them from age. No heating in the room during a cold night in November. On the otherhand, breakfast was nice, with a good selection of food.

The hotel is clean and well located, only about 5 minutes from the metro station and about 10 minutes from the airport. There are several restaurants around and the rooms are clean. Plus the hotel is actually pet friendly, not just limited to small dogs like others in Madrid.
