We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Novotel. We found that the reception staff were all very helpful especially when we had trouble parking our car. We ate in the restaurant twice and found the food to be very good as were the breakfasts. The restaurant staff were also very good. The room was a good size and comfortable. Very happy with our stay.

I had a short 1 night stop in Madrid. This hotel was clean efficient and awsome value for money. Best thing was the super comfortable bed worst thing was the horrible paint and decide in the hallways.

This hotel has been newly renovated - with everything shiny and new. The reception is a little confusing - when I first got there I was confused where to actually check in as there isn't a traditional check-in counter, nor any signage as to what I was meant to be doing. Amenities are typical of Novotel though I was a little surprised I had to request an iron - not an issue at all but just different. Food could be better: breakfast was exactly the same for the entire week I was there. The dinner staff could do with an attitude improvement - there is a manager with short hair - he told me to wait in the lobby and he'll come and get me. Didn't get me and I waited for 15 mins. Then when I approached another waiter he brought me in and I was intercepted again by that manager - who offered me to sit on a high bench? What's wrong with sitting at a regular table. He was then just irritating the whole night - wouldn't fill up water when asked, took ages to take my order, gave me the bill when I didn't ask for it. In general did not feel welcome at all.

The hotel is newly renovated. Therefore, the lobby and rooms have a modern look and are clean. But some things just did not work out what actually should when paying the premium for a 4 star hotel. The service (reception and hotel bar) are not really going to extra mile. We arrived late at night from the airport. In the lobby we had first to walk around a bit and search before we were able to identify the reception (which has a different design than usual). Actually, the reception staff was there when we entered, but they talked to each other instead of welcoming the arriving guests. Although I prebooked online and entered clearly how many rooms and people in which room we are, the reception staff was confused about it and I needed to tell them again. After all, one double bed room had an unfolded sofa bed (scarifying the sofa) for unclear reasons. In the room we found to our surprise that there was no free water available. As it was late and there is no shop close to the hotel, we went to the hotel bar to get some refreshments. We waited there for at least 15 minutes as a group of people was served. The waiter still did not care about us. So we called for attention. Then we were told that the bar closed at 01:00 and we cannot order anything while these other people seem to be somehow special. The waiter was not able to explain in English. Actually, we arrived the bar before 01:00 and also, they continued to serve the group of people afterwards. We also asked the reception if we can get some water. He told us that they do not offer this. Only the minibar where it costs €3.50 per half liter. Also, the tap water in Madrid was described as very good and drinkable. I tried it then later and already tasted with the first sip that it contains chlorine. This is not understandable and totally unacceptable in many ways: - Even we arrived late, the reception did not tell us the bar closes soon. - The bar closes already at 01:00 and the hotel offers not alternatives for 24h drinks or snacks. - The bar refused to serve hotel guests anything although it was obviously still running. - No free water available. - Staff asked us to drink tap water which contains chlorine. The story continued the next day. By coincidence we just cam back to the hotel before 01:00 and arrived the bar at exactly 00:55 where we wanted to use the vouchers which we've got as members. The bar keeper wanted to send us away, telling us the bar is closed. After insisting and complaining about the situation of the previous night he then at least offered to serve something. I cannot remember the last time I was in a 4 star hotel confronted which such poor hospitality. To go to Novotel was kind of a compromise which eventually completely failed. In the future I will rather spend some more money and go to hotel chains for which I am sure that they can manage the quality of all their hotels. The breakfast was quite good. It was sold as "premium breakfast", not sure what is the difference to just "breakfast".

Fantastic breakfast, really good and impressive kitchen. And last but not least really nice personnel. The hotel was renovated lately, so it is really nice. Could be nice to get there in summer, there is a pool.

Very nice altogether. It was nice to get executive room with my Gold status. The only negative comment is the fact that the breakfast is extremely expensive. Any cafe nearby serves breakfast for less than 5 euro. The price of 16.95 in your hotel is ridiculous for Spain

We had a really good 8 night stay at the hotel. Looking forward to coming back in March this year. The only three comments I would have are. 1) We really missed the Gymnasium (but understand that this is going to be ready soon), so that is ok. 2) Breakfast menu after 8 days lacked some variety. 3) Dinner menu: we struggled to find a dishes on the menu. These comments are not to be taken negatively. We really enjoyed our stay there and can't wait to come back. See you in March!!

Liked the ambience but found no public transport options near-by. Also there were no details on which places to see, shop when in Madrid. Breakfast was good but lacked variety for everyday. Guest staying long gets bored. No drinking water facility available in sight is another concern.

i booked the hotel because a gym was listed....and it was not available as still being rebuilt. this is what says on the website: "Fitness center, Piscina de verano y Terraza Chill out" and there is a photo on the site as well. dissapointing.

Reception unusual but very modern and funky. People very friendly and well informed. Rooms are very modern and well laid out. The modern connected tv is a great feature in the room. Bathroom and shower fantastic. Room service is very limited and I did not find something to eat for dinner having arrived after 11:30. Breakfast has a good selection but hot food was cold. Hotel has no vending machine so you can’t get a soft drink and snack without going into bar. Great that the hotel has a shuttle to my office which was fast and efficiently operated and driver was great in pointing me to my office as it was my first visit

Great staff, helpful in everything. Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Had everything we needed. Breakfast was yummy, tiny bit expensive but kids ate free. Dinner menu needs to be expanded a bit but what we did have was delicious. Convenient location with bus access. Close to airport too.
