On arrival & check in to our room we had to move rooms due to a very bad drain / toilet like smell. Then also during that day one of the elevators stopped working so it took extremely long to go & come from our room, That night at approximately 11pm while I was showering the water in the hotel went off - then the following morning we were told that the swimming pool would be closed for the full day which is not good when you have a 3 year old child travelling with you - and this was the main reason we picked this hotel in the 1st place. The most disappointing thing when paying & checking out was that after I left the hotel I found out that our other family members that also stayed in the hotel for 2 nights were only charged for 1 night stay so got approximately €139 off their stay! Me and my wife did NOT I will be sending a follow up email requesting half of my money back straight away!! This was extremely unprofessional of your staff to allow such a different pay structure to happen to the same family with the same rooms, dates etc…. I do look forward to your VERY fast reply regarding this matter. Regards, Alan C.

We stayed in this hotel as part of our Family Eclipse Euro road trip. Room was comfortable however bathroom could have been better cleaned. Significant mold was found under the shower. We extended our stay from two to three nights. I did it online but also discussed this with front desk so we don't have to change the room. Unfortunately when we came back from sightseeing on the third day our keys did not work and room was not cleaned as if nobody knew that we are staying one more night. I used to work in hotel so I know this might be tricky that is why I have let know the front desk we are extending the stay but it did nit help. Novotel 4* should have not allowed this to happen. Kind lady at the front desk agent acted quickly on this for which I am grateful but it was pretty annoying to find out after long day walking in 35C that first our keys do not work and once we got our key fixed that we cannot take shower because room was not touched and we had no clean towels. Last thing I want to mention is the pool. Water was looking weird and did not smell good. It was greenish and not clear at all. Overall did not look too clean. Over all I am pretty satisfied with our stay but it could have ben better if it not for things I mentioned above.

The swimming pool is smaller than I expected. The water in the pool is not really clear. Kids are a little bit disappointed about it.

Very nice staff. Good and clean facilities. Plenty of breakfast choices. We had a very nice time. The only downside is that the swimming pool is a bit on the smaller side, especially at peak times. Otherwise, all good.

Hotel is very clean and very well furnished. Room good size comfortable beds and nice bathroom with all Rituals product’s ex. Hand wash liquid, shampoo, conditioner etc. fantastic breakfast with a big variety of foods.very delicious coffee. Staff very nice and helpful staff Reception , service and restaurant . Great check in and check out . Everything was so good . The only bad thing not close to the metro station it’s more than 700m .

Hotel is nice and clean great value well worth it. Only thing need to be improved is dinner options in the hotel restaurant, there is only the set menu.

I've stayed 3-4 times in this Novotel for business trips during the week and this was the first time we stayed with my husband over the weekend. The hotel was very full but everything was managed perfectly. Especially at breakfast, even if it was very busy, they were refilling food constantly and it was very tidy. Our room was very calm and nice. One everything our room neighbors had louder music after 11 pm and the reception managed that issue immediately. This hotel starts to be my favorite in Madrid.
