I am writing to share my experience during my recent stay at the Novotel Madrid City Las Ventas. I stayed there for three nights a couple of weeks ago while on vacation. Having stayed at this hotel multiple times prior to September 2023, mainly due to its excellent location near my company's offices, I was eager to see how it fared during this personal trip. Firstly, I must commend the hotel on maintaining some of its outstanding features. The customer service remains exceptional, with staff always attentive and friendly. I would like to give special recognition to Alejandro Del Rio, one of the managers, who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. His friendliness and accommodating nature are truly commendable. Additionally, the breakfast buffet continues to impress with its variety and quality, and the location remains very convenient despite not being in the central part of Madrid. However, I did encounter a few areas that could use improvement. The policy of turning off the air conditioning units during the winter months needs to be reconsidered. I visited during a week in February when the weather was unexpectedly warm, and I found it quite uncomfortable that I couldn't turn on the AC in my room. The only option provided was to open a window, which I did not find viable. Another point of concern is the removal of Nespresso machines from the rooms and the lobby, especially for members of the Accor program's top tier. This was a feature I greatly appreciated during my previous stays, and its absence was noticeable. Overall, while my stay was enjoyable, addressing these issues could significantly enhance the experience for future guests. Thank you for your attention to these matters.
