I booked last minute when my flight from Madrid was cancelled. This hotel was relatively close to the airport, comfortable and the staff went out of their way to help me.

Poor service, pool & gym were not open which was my only reason for booking.

I compared prices on comparison site for hotels with pool for the kids to enjoy; I actually paid a lot more than I needed for this amenity given I could have saved around 150-200 euros for a similar hotel without pool with a similar location. My kids and I were utterly shocked to be told at checking in that the pool was closed until 10th June. If I had known this before I would have changed my hotel. Once there, surprised to see paper cups in the room for a 4* hotel we were paying over 500 euros for 3 nights. That aside, on day two when my husband requested cups, tea and milk to be replaced service was not met, (we only had one of each). I then went down another half hour later and the receptionist said I’ll ring rooms service again or bring it myself. Again after another half hour wait we gave up as we had to get on with our day. This was my first stay at IBIS but we always stay at Novotel or Mercure because of our work BUT NEVER again will I choose Ibis; and will rethink about Accor stays to be honest. We are happy to pay extra for good service and this fell well below par. Furthermore my Accor account reset for some reason which is a separate issue and I’ll ring customer services.

On our website we have published the opening date of the pool, Friday 10 June, as there are many customers who ask us.We are sorry that you and your family were unable to enjoy this service. We would like to inform you that there must have been a misunderstanding with the gymnasium as it is open from 6am to 11pm and has never been closed. We would like you not to be left with this unfortunate perception of your stay at Ibis and we would like to apologise to you and ask you to give us another opportunity to offer you our best service. Even if it's not near central area, the placement is nice as well as the vicinities. There's a parc nearby and also restaurants and shops. All together, it was a good experience, nice and serviabile personell.
