Our family had 2 rooms and spent 1 night at the Ibis Koln Messe. We paid €153 per room. For that price, I expected to have a kettle and tea-making facilities at least. The decor in the rooms was dated and tired. The carpets were stained, as were the walls of my room in places. The bathroom sink had a unpleasant smell coming from the drain. It was also difficult to reach for visitors on foot.

The rooms have an ibis standard size of 16.4 square meters including the wet room and are furnished with all ibis standards, including the "Sweet bed by ibis" sleeping comfort. You will not find a kettle, refrigerator or other amenities in any German-speaking ibis hotel room, nor will you find mineral water; instead we have our hotel bar open for you 24/7. I sincerely apologize to you for the lack of cleaning. Rest assured that this is not the norm at the ibis Köln Messe. If you didn't like the ibis room product, why not try our Mercure Hotels, the Novotel, Pullman or MGallery Hotel on your next trip to Cologne? Never again! Sadly this was more like a hostel than a hotel. Lack of customer care, terrible wifi, bathroom was dirty and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable.

We enjoyed staying in the hotel. The room was clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast is a usual buffet, we liked it too. The hotel is located a bit far from the Main train station, walk distance 30 minutes. If that is not a problem, this is the great place to stay.

Hi, i paid 350€ per night for a budget hotel.. the hotel room is not well cleaned. Dirty carpet, dirty bathroom. Only one of two elevators functioning. Always cue.

We do everything we can to offer you the best quality of service during each of your stays. Your opinion is therefore of the greatest interest to us. Unfortunately, I found that you were not completely satisfied with our service. They complained about the cleanliness in the bathroom, found the carpeting unclean and found that one of the two elevators was broken. Accordingly, you draw the conclusion that the overnight stay was too expensive and you are disappointed. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience during your stay and I assure you that the lack of cleaning is not a regular occurrence at the ibis Hotel Köln Messe. Because of course we are interested in keeping you as a satisfied customer. We have discussed your complaint with our cleaning service provider, who is taking this as an opportunity to train their cleaners again. Unfortunately, the elevator failed due to a defective component. This component has been ordered and will be installed directly as soon as it is available to the plant manufacturer. Your accommodation was during the leading international trade fair "IDS". The average price during this period, in the 2-3 star sector, was €375 - they paid €189 on the first night and €339 on the two following nights. Our price was therefore still below the average rate. Regardless of the room rate, the room must be clean! Dear Mr. B., I once again formally apologize for the inconvenience caused.
