Sheet was blocked. Room temperature was not controlled properly with the thermostat.

We do everything we can to offer you the best quality of service during each of your stays. Your opinion is therefore of great interest to us. Unfortunately, I had to realise that you were not entirely satisfied with our service. You complained about the cleanliness of the bed linen in room 324 and the water in the shower did not drain properly. You also wrote that the price you had paid was more expensive than the daily rate on the day of arrival. I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused during your stay and assure you that the lack of cleaning is not a regular occurrence at the ibis Hotel Köln Messe. I have discussed your complaint with our cleaning service provider, who will take this as an opportunity to continue training his cleaners. The shower and the washbasin were also cleared immediately. We have dynamic pricing, where supply and demand regulate the price. As a rule, the price usually goes up, but it can also happen that the price drops due to different circumstances, which is not untypical in today's market situation. 2000 Canadian for one double bed is kind of harsh. Even during Gamescom peak. Upon arriving, I was given a room that was not cleaned. Staff resolved the issue very quickly. Sometimes the elevators didn't work. The best part was the breakfast.

You write that the room rate you paid was not justified. During the period of your visit, the international Gamescom was taking place at the Cologne Trade Fair Centre, which is within walking distance. Supply and demand also determine the price in the hotel industry. So you can imagine that demand around the trade fair was particularly high during this period. Nevertheless, our rate was below the average within the 3* competitor market, which was €355 per night - excluding breakfast and the bed tax. The allocation of an uncleaned room - for which I apologise - should not have happened, but this was rectified immediately. The staff was very kind and helpful, really professional. The room was clean. We did not use the public transport as we had our own bicycles (15 minutes ride to the city centre) but the train station is very close. We did not have breakfast either as we usually prefer to have it outside. We had once dinner at the restaurant, staff was very professional. Thank you all!
