We were a family of four, 2 adults and 2 kids. In previous adagio stays in other countries we have liked the concept of having almost everything you need an appartment but provided to you by a hotel. The cologne adagio however was not as we have wished or expected. The apartment is very small and the bedroom was a cubic of 2x2 the door was barely able to shut. We were on a tour in Germany so we had 4 luggages and we were not able to fit together with the luggages. The cleanliness of the apartment is average with many stains on the wall and in the bathroom, in addition to dust on the ceiling lamps. They were small flies flying in the kitchen and bathroom that bothered us. I raised with the hotel staff the issue of the space of the apartment but they didn’t do anything. I tried to offer solutions like moving into a bigger apartment or two studios but they said they were fully booked. We thought of changing the hotel but we were told that the we would have to pay the full stay despite explaining to him that I am a loyal member to Accor, so we decided not to leave. During our stay in the early morning there was a nock on our door. 2 men not from hotel staff said that they need to enter to fix the windows and would need the room for 30min. I said sorry I can’t let you in i was not informed. The guys insisted until i told them to go. I went to the reception to complain they said sorry for the misunderstanding and they should have come with someone from hotel staff but that they need to enter the room to fix the windows. I said i can't because our stuff are everywhere in the apartment and i can’t spend time packing as i have plans. Eventually the hotel staff agreed and asked me to keep a ‘do not disturb’ sign outside our door to prevent anyone from entering. We did this but honestly we were worried for our remaining stay that they would enter during our absence. The hotel staff didn’t explain well to us how housekeeping works, nor did they explain that there is a booklet in the kitchen to guide us through the stay. They just explained about the fire alarm and that we should prevent using anything that produces smoke or heat. Overall our stay wasnt very pleasant and compared to other Adagio chains we visited this didn’t meet our expectations.

I think there is a general need for better cleaning in the building. For example the breakfast bar had a lot of flies which is extremely off putting for anyone who wants to eat breakfast. There didn’t seem to be any effort to solve this.

First of all, the welcome was rather cold, then they told me that the reservation had not been paid for by employer (which turned out to be false), I was obliged to pay on the spot a second time, and for more than two months no refund despite reminders, what a shame not to refund your “customers” due to your mistakes, I call that stealing.
