I have a very good memory to my stay Hotel Mondial am Dom Cologne: I was received very friendly, easy and fast checkin, comfortable room with nice view to the dome (thanks for the upgrade) and good infrastructure. I did not find the hotel parking, used the public garage instead (this is a bit heavy with luggage due to the uneven road). Thank you very much!

Good, comfortable hotel, with nice service. Breakfast isn’t outstanding ( and my second day the waiter tried to convince me that it was closed, even though there were twenty minutes left!) - but it’s ample. And the hotel’s location couldn’t be better!

We booked a standard room and were expecting a bit more from a hotel MGallery. The room was pretty simple. The bed was comfortable but it had just two too soft pillows that gave me a bit of neck pain and the comforter was way too warm for summer (it would be nice to have a simple blanket in the wardrobe). The shower was good but I missed a hair conditioner. The room overall was very dusty, and we found a spider near the table. The tea options were nice but I found the coffee of very poor quality. Besides that, the internet didn't work on my laptop although I followed all the instructions and still could get connected. In the room I couldn't find any information about the services offered in the hotel. For the price paid I would not come back. There are better hotels in the city that cost less.

We only had 9 hours in the hotel because of delayed trains. Consequently I didn’t get to experience much in the hotel from 01:00 to 10:00

The hotel is modern, clean and staff very helpful. We arrived at 2.00 and had to wait for our room. When we got to the room we were amazed to find clear glass between the bathroom and the rest of the room. This was unsatisfactory for father and daughter. They were unable to find us another room. This somewhat spoilt what would have been a pleasant stay.

We joined our daughter and son in law who have visited this hotel many times and loved it. However they were not impressed by the updating.... we did not like the idea of a window into the bathroom giving no privacy or modesty cover. A blind on the window would work - why do we have a door on the bathroom/toilet at home?? Breakfast as €27 is extortionate especially when their own cafe offers a deal of coffee/yoghurt/muffin for €7.50 ! Wonderful position for the market, clean and comfortable.

Bright, clean and great for Christmas markets

Have stayed here for many years to go to the Christmas markets. It is within 5 minutes walk of 3 markets and an easy 10 minute walk from the main station. Rooms are comfortable and clean with a great shower and complimentary toiletries. The rooms have been redone this year: the TV is huge. Could do with a little more storage space (shelves and drawers) but fine for a couple of days. Personally I found the large glass window straight from the shower in to the room rather odd..fine for couples I guess, but glad I wasn't sharing with a friend. Great choice of buffet breakfast...fresh fruit, cereals, meats, cheeses, juice, rolls, pastries and cooked items. Staff are very friendly.

We had a Superior Cathedral View room (368) which was spotless and modern with a comfortable double bed. Room serviced every day (we stayed for 4 nights) to a very high standard. The room size was smaller than we expected with not much space to store your clothes. The shelf unit and safe were quite high up and we both struggled to reach them ! We left most of our clothes in our suitcase to use as and when needed.However we accept that this is a short stay City Centre Hotel. The cafe adjoining the hotel was very nice although we did not use the hotels restaurant as we were here mainly for the Christmas Markets. Sleep quality was very good overall although you have to accept the 7am bells from the Cathedral ! Breakfast choice and quality were excellent with a very efficient table service. All the staff we encountered were always friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend this quality hotel which has a perfect location for seeing the sights of Cologne. This is reflected of course in the price as you would expect at this time of the year.

In all my travels to Colonia, I stay at Hotel Mondial am Dom Cologne MGallery. I'm always very well received by the staff, who are very attentive and kind. The breakfast is excellent and very well served. The rooms and the lavatory are always very clean and modern. That is, 99.9% of this hotel is excellent. After all what is missing? Unfortunately the WIFI is lousy, even with a router located in the hallway outside the my room door, the result was bleak. This is an aspect to be improved by the hotel management. Make a good choice and a nice stay at the hotel Mondial am Dom Cologne!

However it is true that there are some trouble with the Wi-Fi coverage by the routers of the extern company which gives us this service. New room design not good

This is about the 8th time we've stayed at the Mondial am Dom as we attend two trade shows every year at the Koln Messe. I usually travel with my colleague and share a twin room which although the rooms are quite small, has never been a problem in the past. It is well located and breakfast is very good. Until this time that is. The rooms have been redesigned and redecorated and the shower wall looking out onto the rest of the room is now glass. In other words, your colleague can now see you (and vice versa) from the knees up in the shower and also sitting down whilst on the loo... not sure who came up with ingenious design but it really doesn't work and was very unpleasant. But the most disappointing part was that I was not notified of this change (even though I'm a member of the Accor Group loyalty program) and charged full price when there is clearly renovation still going on at the hotel.

However, we regret very much that you have not been as satisfied as usual with our hotel because of the new open shower design and some little improvements, which we are finishing. Regarding the shower, we would like to inform you that we are already doing some refinements for example some rooms have already a milkglass and we are expanding the numbers of room with this type of shower. Generally, we have changed the design of the rooms with more light and warm colors and this type of modern shower to visually enlarge the room. This was my first stay at this property. The hotel was very clean with modern styling. Customer service was very good and the daily breakfast offerings were highly delicious. This hotel was in a great location with easy walking to many shops, restaurants and other attractions. Close to the train station as well. Highly recommended!!

For a McGallery- the price wasn't very expensive- but it wasn't the quality McGallery we are used to. The breakfast is very expensive- we opted not to take it. The staff however are friendly and helpful. The spa is nothing special but the gym is well-equiped. The location is ideal- close to the Cathedral, the old part of town, the Rhin and the Philharmonik !

Newly renovated, good service, nice looking and comfortable rooms, breakfast is very good. Central location. I highly recommend. Restaurant for lunch and dinner is not the best but OK. Gym is quite small but enough with multiple weight / running / cycling.
