Pros: Pompous decor, very friendly staff, clean rooms, and comfy beds. Cons: Difficult parking (use public garages), narrow hallways, and poor bathroom storage. The floors are very long and loud; expect to hear doors slamming all night. The Breakfast: A total disaster for the price. No fresh coffee or juice, poor quality bread, and watery eggs. The quality felt like a budget hostel, yet it cost over €30. It’s easily €20 overpriced for what you get. Everything else was average, but the breakfast was a huge disappointment.

The Mondial am dom is a very nice hotel, well situated close to the cathedral and the main Koln station. All the facilities are wonderful, especially Sauna and the breakfast.
