ibis Nice Centre Notre Dame Hotel 3 stars

I come to Nice in order to do a few days of cycling in the mountains. At Ibis I have the opportunity to bring my bike to the room which is important to me. This is much appreciated. This was my second visit. I will certainly return.

Clean hotel, receptionist very polite and helpful. Rooms could do with some moderation.Hotel in a good location.

It was very pleasant including location, room service, and also breakfast which was very good.

Kind staffs, room is still quite new, few minutes to light-rail or station, good room rate. If just want a shower and sleep as well as cheap price, it's a good choice.

A cosy hotel with very central location, yet slightly distanced from the rush. Friendly staff. Slept well, had no disturbances. The double bed was a bit narrow for two fairly big persons. Breakfast was fine. Only wish: instead of the very sweet fruit bread I would have prefered a multicereal bread as served in other Ibis hotels in France.

The parking is 300m away from the hotel, and there is no dedicated parking space in front if the hotel to load/unload your luggage. The lift is small and slow, but it works. The room was very spacious, clean and feels like recently decorated. The staff is helpful. Overall I would recommend this hotel to travelers who will not spend a lot of time in the hotel. It has everything you need, but in modesty.

I rarely gives a not-10 rating to hotels and I fully acknowledges what service level should be provided by respective hotel brands. Regarding the fact that it's a IBIS hotel I did not expect anything beyond a room and guide from front desk for city-trip to the least extent. However this hotel did not meet my expection even in this way though the room itself was OK. 1. If you hotel review the surveillance record you may see that during my stay I've hanged the DO NOT DISTURB, but my room was still accessed without my authorization by HSKP to do the daily work. Please notice that there is no safebox offered in the room and the locker service at the front desk calls for additional charge. This is NOT acceptable and strong violation to our contract. 2. There was a SNCF strike during my stay led to complete out-of-service of public transportation of the entire NICE city, notice of which has been already published one week in advance. I was not informed of this by any means before my checkin or even after my checkin, until I was stuck on the street, came back to hotel and ask the front desk personally. Of course it's not required by IBIS to provide Concierge service but how can you hotel assume that a visitor who is not familiar with France should get this piece of critical information by himself and think it's OK not to print out anything at front desk? I chose not to make complaints at front desk because I decided to spare some more time in other IBIS/IBIS Styles hotels in Europe to see whether such ignorance is the common case. No, it's not. It's just this ibis Nice Centre Notre-Dame that did not care about guests at all. Meh

easy checkin and check out, good breakfast

Small hotel with good basic facilities and a very helpful staff. Adequate room size for one person , clean and well maintained, bathroom quite spacious, ample spaced shower. Location is very convenient as the tram is only a few yards away for any where in the town and the airport.

I have been coming to Nice for many years but this was my first time at this hotel. I had not been here yet since it is rather close to the Train Station (an area which can get a bit "interesting" in the evening/night). However, being part of the Ibis Hotels chain, the standards were at the same level as all other Ibis hotels, and people working there made an effort to be welcoming and nice and useful. It is very centrally located, just around the corner from Jean Medecin, and after all not too far away from the beach (which can also be reached by tram). I have seen a lot of negative reviews about this hotel, so I was nicely surprised to see that after all, the quality is good. I was happy with my room, big enough (bigger than other Ibis I have been to), clean, with a very comfortable bed, and quiet. I did not have breakfast there, so I cannot comment on it. I would say that I can certainly go back to this hotel again when I am looking for a more central location and being close to the beach is not so important.
