Mercure Nice Marche aux Fleurs Hotel 4 stars

My room was terrible. I was not given the room my booking description said I would get. The air conditioning went out, when fixed, the air was very damp and smelled. Housekeeping did a fast job, therefore was not thorough. I had a wonderful room 2 wks prior... actually upgraded me! So I decided to go back to Mercure. Very disappointed this time.

The receptionists were nice and polite, the location is great. However the room was disgusting. The smell of dirty wet carpet was the first negative details we've noticed. Then we saw several grass spot on the wall paper on top of the bed, I'm pretty sure the carpet was slightly wet as well. Not much effort in the bathroom; all towels were rough and smelled like bleach, no sleepers or bathrobes with simple paper cup next to the sink. The room was also extremely small for €203. I went to several hotels of the chain including few novotel and Pullman, it has always been a pleasure but now I have to say that I'm not too sure if I'll carry on booking with your company. After 3 days on a nice boat at St Tropez, I was looking forward to have a great room before coming back straight to work in London. Overall, I'm not impressed and very deasapointed.

We stayed for 6 nights and really enjoyed it.

Very nice staff and great placed. The rooms were very clean. Then again small and on the road, not as a bad claim but to let you know you are in a Touristic city and it’s by the sea and street. With windows closed all good :) It is certainly not a todays 4 star level anymore but then again for the value of the money perfect and nice.

Great location. My room was above a bakery and expected to be awaken by aromatic scents not the smell of burnt baked goods. Otherwise, the rooms were decent and comfy. The day before, I tried to make a reservation through the hotel, but was rudely told to go directly to the all.acor.com website instead.

On a weekend break and the hotel was great for that. Breakfast was excellent and staff were friendly. Room was relatively small so on a longer stay it might not be so convenient, but all amenities were fine and bed very comfortable.

Nice small hotel with great location right at Promenade des Anglais behind the Opera building but a bit overpriced. Rooms are too small but have a balcony and surely clean and tidy.

I have stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in the winter time. It's located on the famous Promenade des Anglais. You can touch the beautiful sea breeze only by walking across the road opposite the hotel, and you can stroll around the Nice old town and Massena Square nearby. The facilities in the room were good, but I unfortunately haven't got the slippers this time as they said it ran out of it because it's quite cold when you stand or walk on the floor in the toilet.

I had a nice stay and was well taken care of. Breakfast was good and had many choices.

A nicely located hotel with a beautiful setting in front of the sea. There are plenty of local amenities, and is only a 15 minute taxi ride. The room was really nice, clean. Received a welcome note from the hotel. Staff were friendly.

During the day next room was painted but it did not bother us at all. Good job!
