This hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of most of Nice's attractions. We opted for a balcony and it was a great place to view the beach and promenade. Be aware that the front desk is up a flight of stairs and you must walk up stairs to your room. It's a cute hotel with a nice little lounge right off the main desk. My only complaint is that the breakfast offered is exactly the same every day!

The hotel was in a great location, we had a balcony room with a view of the ocean which was much needed as the size of the room was like a size box! Think the size of a cruise ship room!

The staff were extremely helpful, the location was perfect on the beach and walking distance to everything we wanted to check out, but the rooms itself are a bit outdated and there is no elevator. Thankfully the staff helped us carry luggage.

We only spent one night at the Mercure, but it will be my go-to in Nice from now on! The location could not be more perfect: there are so many great restaurants just one or two blocks away, great shopping, and the beach is literally right across the street. We had a room in front overlooking the beach, and although the nighttime crowd outside was raucous and loud, we couldn't hear a peep once our windows are closed. The beds were extremely comfortable, the showers had great water pressure, and the staff was wonderful. In particular, the sweet lady who set up breakfast (I cannot remember her name, but it was the morning of June 29) was SO wonderful to talk to, so friendly and funny, and the steward of a meticulously beautiful and sophisticated breakfast spread....she really made out stay. Please tell her that the couple from California remembers her fondly! My ONLY note to you is this: we were in room 123. You need to replace the ceiling tiles in the bathroom immediately. In addition to looking bad, I was creeped out that there were holes that could've been hiding a camera. As a woman, this is ALWAYS a concern, no matter where I am staying, and you must do everything you can to mitigate a woman feeling unsafe in your space. I thought you would appreciate that fedback.
