Mercure Nice Marche aux Fleurs Hotel 4 stars

I was very happy. Only issue was that the hotel iron destroyed my favourite top. I take responsibility... but all I got from hotel staff was 'sorry'.

The room was very comfortable and even in November it was so nice to be close to the sea and hear the waves from the balcony.

All in all good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is fantastic. Room and bathroom smelt of damp

We enjoyed our stay at the Mercure. One note of feedback was the temperature settings in the hallway and breakfast area we’re far too high. It needed to be cooler. Otherwise we rated the hotel highly.

As usual -a very nice Hotel - ! And it is OK to ask all Staff - if something is missing or need to be borrowed for the Room. This time we stayed on 125 - small Room but ok - (Next time i March 2020 I ordered got the favored Room 123 ! )

Having stayed in Mercure hotels in various cities, we were tempted by the location of Hotel Mercure Marche aux Fleurs Nice. Advertised as a 4-star hotel, it definitely did not come up to standard and was very expensive for the facilities available. We chose a standard room but expected some comfort. Instead there was barely room to move round the bed, hardly any surface on which to place belongings and none of the advertised toiletries provided in the bathroom (fixed soap dispensers only over basin and bath). The view from the room was depressing across a dirty corrugated roof and onto a large expanse of extractor equipment. The french door onto this roof area was not lockable so access was technically available across this roof. However location was excellent, the breakfast room was pleasant, breakfast good and staff very helpful. Our concern is about the quality of the accomodation over which staff had no control.

We had a superior room with balcony, chosen after a very helpful email correspondence with the hotel. Comfortable bed, great shower, close to everything, it was everything we wanted. We were well looked after and had no problems at all. There was a small electronic buzz every now and then (Wi-fi?) but it did not bother us. We would recommend this hotel for a short stay, as long as guests do not mind a few stairs.

Great location and nice staff. But few negative points: - The bathroom was too small, we had no place to put clothes nor extend wet towels. The bathroom bin was too small as well. - I was also surprised that we did not have a recharge of bottle of water every day (I have one bottle of water every day in other Accorhotels hotels). - The room was too noisy and not soundproof at all as we could hear all our neighbours discussions, alarm clocks etc.

A Very comfortable stay, quiet, great location with lovely staff who were very accommodating and friendly. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was also very good. Welcome drink was also a very nice touch.

The hotel has a great location, on the seafront and close to the town centre. Breakfast is very good, but... Bedrooms have the bed located on a platform up a narrow, steep, staircase (13 steps). Roof height in this area is about six feet, so beware if you are tall. Wardrobe is not very big, bathroom was OK, but beware of shower spraying everywhere. I don’t know how many rooms have a sea view, but it’s not many. You’re more likely to be looking at the building across the street. Staff were helpful. There is no elevator, and several steps up from street level.
