Our second consecutive year in the hotel. The aircon wasn’t functioning well and hence the room was too warm at times. Paid for an executive room and the mini bar wasn’t re-stocked every day. However, we had had another great stay.

Was extremely disappointed with this hotel. Both myself and my daughter were on the 4th floor. Based on the images on the website, the room was so different. Dirty carpet and dirty. bathroom. My daughter has stayed at other Novotel hotels, so this was highly recommended. Something needs to be done about the cleanliness of the rooms. The reception area and the breakfast area downstairs was clean.

We were greeted by friendly staff to the Novotel. Room was small and basic, but clean. Alittle dated, but it's only used for sleeping at night! Noise level would be similar to most hotels, nothing to concern me and I managed a sleep each night. Breakfast isn't a huge variety, but plenty options. Good value for money. All staff were polite and welcoming. At the elevators there are machines to fill water for the room and a fridge to keep things cool. Location was perfect as we went to an event next door. 20-30min walk to the hustle and bustle and down to the sea front. Scenery and views from Old Town Nice were beautiful.

While we’re not in the middle of the “hustle and bustle,” we are very well connected by tram and bus to the city and the famous Promenade des Anglais. Was very disappointed with our stay at Novotel. Our flight was delayed and when we arrived we had hoped to get a drink but the bar was closed and the member of staff who checked us in would only offer us water. I was under the impression that there was a night porter at this hotel. We had stayed here last year so we knew we could not get something to eat so we took sandwiches to have with a drink.

This was my first time in Nice and I was there with my family to support my brother-in-law who was participating in the Ironman World Championships. I was the only one staying at the hotel though and for single occupancy, the hotel was expensive but unfortunately, that’s like most places. If you’re a solo traveller, you have to pay the price of two people! The hotel is clean and the employees who service the rooms do a fantastic job tiding the rooms at speed. The bar/restaurant area is welcoming and the staff are warm and friendly. The front desk staff are also friendly and accommodating for any questions or for booking taxis. I would recommend asking for a taxi price upfront though. We got charged 145 euro to take me and one other pick up to the airport on our return. The location of the hotel is perfectly situated for transport links and I found hopping on a tram simple and convenient. The rooftop pool is nice and quiet and. The beds are comfortable but cannot be adjusted. So you can only really lie facing up. For those seeking an even tan, you’ll probably need to lie on the floor to tan your back. A minor thing of course. I did feel though that the hotel was missing a trick in not have a small bar/snacks area by the pool. If you wanted a drink, you’d need to go down 7 floors to get one and then back up. Having the ability to have a bar/snacks area or even to order via a phone app would be a nice touch. The only other thing I would change is the Smart TV. All the channels are in French with only BBC News in English. Obviously, I didn’t go to Nice to watch TV but it’s nice to unwind after getting back to the hotel and watch something. I’m not expecting English programs as we are in France after all but the TV didn’t have the ability to allow me to airplay/cast to the TV and because the TV is fitted flush to the wall, you couldn’t add an HDMI device such as an Apple TV either. It’s a shame because my room had a 55” screen with ambient lights and yet, I couldn’t really get any use out of it. In the scheme of things, these are minor points. I really enjoyed my stay and I hope to return again. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful experience.

Regarding the rooftop area, there is actually a bar next to the pool, but it is open only from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. during July and August.
