We had a wonderful stay. The location is absolutely perfect — right on the Promenade, with everything within easy reach. A special thank you for the upgrade to a sea view room as an Accor Gold member — such a great touch that made the stay even more enjoyable. Waking up to that view was truly special. Will definitely be back!

Here’s my review for your hotel on Google. Hopefully you can understand what a terrible experience it was. Mercure Promenade de Anglais review: We called ahead, gave the name our reservation was under and we were told we could check-in at 2pm/1400hrs. We had been traveling all day and were very tired and looking forward to resting for a few hours. The room was not ready despite calling ahead, nor was there even an apology forthcoming from any of 3 receptionists. We waited in the hotel lobby that had no aircon on a very hot day, and had a terrible sewer gas smell, for 45min before we were able to get into our room. Went to our room to rest, but hotel failed to warn guests it is undergoing renovations and you can’t sleep during the day because all your hear are drills and heavy equipment being used. At a minimum, they should have posted this on their website. I booked this hotel just for 1 night, on the Promenade de Anglais for convenience and direct route to Cote d’Azure airport. However, they again failed to mention the Promenade would be CLOSED due to the Paris-Nice bike race. No cars, taxis, Ubers could get to the hotel ALL WEEKEND. Yes, the Pronenade will be closed to traffic for TWO DAYS. Good luck to anyone catching a flight today trying to get a taxi. Lastly, we decided to shower and check out at 5am in order to walk many blocks away from the Promenade and catch a taxi, but the Hotel Mercure had no hot water. Yep, we couldn’t take a shower either. No complimentary welcome water bottle in the room as is the usual for Accor hotels loyalty program to which the Mercure belongs. I’m an All Accor member, I know what to expect of their hotels, and this hotel is by far the worst Mercure/Accor I’ve ever stayed at. However, if you enjoy, sewer gas smells, threadbare and dated rooms, zero recognition of room category or loyalty membership and ice-cold showers, this is the place for you.

We are loyal ALL customers so know the hotels are comfortable.The hotel is conveniently located for the Promenade des Anglais, the Old Town, has many good restaurants close by, and has great Public transport links. Our room had views of the sea and Albert -st Park, which was a great bonus during the carnival. Unfortunately building work in the hotel started early every day except Sunday so some forewarning would have been helpful. Don't worry about the hotel breakfast, there are great options within 5 minutes walk.

While these updates are essential to provide our guests with the modern experience they deserve, we understand that more forewarning regarding the schedule would have been appreciated. Please be assured that we are doing our best to minimize the impact on our guests' rest. Regarding your comment on breakfast, while the surrounding area does indeed offer lovely local options, we would be delighted to have you try our own selection during a future visit, once the hotel has regained its full serenity. As an Accor Platinum member, I expected a higher standard of service, but unfortunately, several issues significantly impacted my experience: 1. Failure to Provide Room Upgrade Despite being eligible for an upgrade to a sea-view room as part of my Accor Platinum membership, I was not offered this benefit upon check-in. Additionally, I confirmed through the Accor app that such rooms were available for upgrade at the time of my arrival. 2. Lack of Drinking Water My room was not provided with bottled drinking water, and the water dispensers in the hallway were also empty, leaving me without access to drinking water throughout my stay. 3. Unannounced Renovation Works The hotel was undergoing renovation, but no prior notice was given at the time of booking or check-in. As a result, I was disturbed by excessive drilling noise around 10:30 AM while trying to rest, forcing me to leave the hotel earlier than planned. These issues collectively undermined the quality of my stay and fell far below the standards expected of an Accor Platinum member. I respectfully request appropriate compensation or corrective action for these oversights.

With respect to the renovation works, information about ongoing works was displayed at the front desk and visible at the time of check-in. We are nevertheless sorry for the disturbance you experienced and understand how this may have affected your comfort. We genuinely regret that your experience fell short of what you anticipated, particularly as a valued Accor Platinum member.
