The Grimaldi was the perfect location for our 4 days in Nice. The beds were comfortable , the rooms spotlessly clean and the foyer pleasing. We enjoyed the variety of food available at breakfast which was always fresh and loved having a drink and snack in the Rooftop bar. The staff were all friendly and helpful . We would stay here again .

I have been an Accor client for years and this is my first to pen down a bad review of an unpleasant experience travelling to Nice. The front desk guy was very rude and refused to acknowledge my hotel bookings as my Christian name wasn’t stated in my passport, despite providing proof of a few of my credit cards & Accor Apps which aligned with my booking name. I tried to explain I have no issues with other hotels from many other countries and asked if I can speak to his manager. When I tried to explain my encounter to the lady manager, he gestured and stopped me, saying he will talk. The manager did not even apologise knowing I wasn’t very please with the rudeness. Just to add, I was composed throughout our conversation. If anyone would ask for my hotel recommendation at NICE, I will not recommend Hotel Mercure Nice Centre Grimaldi. Very unprofessional team.

Madam, We are sincerely sorry that your experience at our establishment did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify certain points regarding your arrival. When you presented yourself at the front desk, you were unable to provide any identification document clearly showing the name matching your reservation. In this context, it was our responsibility to carry out the necessary verification procedures to confirm both your identity and your Accor membership status, in accordance with our internal security policies. Our staff member simply took the time to explain this process to you. When communication became difficult and a lack of cooperation was perceived, he asked his manager to take over in order to handle the situation more effectively. We understand that these verification procedures may have felt inconvenient; however, they are in place solely to ensure the security and compliance of all reservations for every guest. We were great badly at the front office and the senior staff gave me an impression that she couldn’t be bothered. Very rude service and demanding me to put down the desk phone while I had asked for permission to use it in the first place. There were two phones at the front office. She claimed to even want to charge me for doing a local line call out to the airlines. Very sorry that you had such a team treating Accor members with such manner. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

The welcome was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. Our room was comfortable and the breakfast had a lovely variety once again attended by very helpful staff.
