Stains on the carpet

The hotel was nice and quiet but the room temperature was not comfortable and when we adjusted the thermostat, it did not seem to have any effect on the temperature, even after 2 days. Also there were stains on the carpet of our room at the entry and on the side of the bed. Additionally, the "half door" of the shower allowed water to splash all over the bathroom floor.

I have stayed at this property several times, usually for 3 to 4 nights and my experience from arrival through check out was always very good. The hotel is in ideal location, not far from anywhere you want to walk to, it is well managed with friendly and professional staff. I will return again once the opportunity presents itself.

The hotel lobby is beautiful, light, modern and airy and the hotel is located just a block or so away from Place Massena, so it is fantastic for location. The staff were lovely and friendly - they were really helpful and welcoming. The downside of the hotel is that the rooms don't match the downstairs lobby at all. Gone are the light colours and airy interiors and instead the rooms are tiny, dark and very dated. On the wall above the beds is a giant clown painting, which is very weird and not in keeping with the Mercure brand's professional theme. For two people, there was barely enough room to store two suitcases. There was no iron or ironing board in the room. There were also ants in the bathroom each day, which was a bit yucky. On the plus side, the beds were comfy and I slept well.

A lovely welcoming, clean room, great breakfast but all spoilt with being advised breakfast was included then on checkout charged, we had a room intrusion while still asleep and one day of four we had no room service. Response was, did you tell us!

Very nice hotel, located in the old building, with elevators. Good location in the centre of Nice, close to central train station, alot of shops, tram stop to aeroport. Friendly personal, clean, good breakfast. Recommended!
