The room was up to the expected standards and the staff was helpful when required. The only reason I am putting an 8 is the breakfast: for the price asked (25 €), the quality of the buffet and breakfast area was not up to standards.

Stayed here for a family holiday, the hotel is well located despite being away from the city centre there is still ample to see and do, and very convenient for bus and tram stops. Breakfast was varied and replenished fast, table space was a little limited but the wait was never very long. Over all fantastic stay and would definitely recommend!*****

My stay at Novotel Wien Donau City was truly one of the longest and most memorable hotel stays I’ve ever had. First of all, the location is absolutely perfect — a prime location in the 2nd district, with easy walking access to the 1st district where you can find all the main attractions, including the cathedral and city center. Everything is incredibly close: metro stations, transport lines, and daily essentials. I barely needed anything beyond my weekly transport card because everything was so convenient. But what made this experience truly exceptional — and something I have rarely felt anywhere else — was the warmth and human connection inside the hotel. I didn’t feel like I was staying in a hotel; I genuinely felt like I was part of a family. The cleanliness was outstanding, the room was beautiful, and the housekeeping team was incredibly kind. Despite the diversity of nationalities among guests and staff, there was a beautiful sense of harmony and connection — even when language was a barrier, communication found its way through kindness and simple gestures. As someone coming from an Arab background, I deeply appreciated this warmth. In many European places, people tend to keep to themselves, but here it was different. There was friendliness, smiles, and genuine interactions every day. I also want to give a very special thank you to the hotel manager. During an emergency when I had to call an ambulance, I was alone — but she stood by me with such care and compassion that I truly felt like I had a sister beside me. Her concern, calmness, and support meant more than words can express. Even after I returned from the hospital, the team continued to check on me every day. This level of care is something I will never forget. I am beyond grateful for this experience. I truly hope to visit Vienna again, stay at this hotel, and have the chance to meet this wonderful team once more.
