I had to attend a one-week business meeting, so a place like this hotel for sleeping was good enough. The room was not equipped with a temperature controller (I felt a bit cold), but OK. Only if I could have an electric kettle and a hairdryer (without a deposit), then the room was perfect.

Terrible experience - Felt unsafe as woman staying by myself

The hotel has a great location with good public transport connections. BUT: The rooms are very basic and did give a bit of prison cell vibes. The sink and shower are in the middle of the room instead of a separate bathroom, which seems quite inconvenient, especially for people sharing a room. Given it’s an ibis budget though, the low comfort can be expected to a degree. What can however not be excused by this is the dust and hair throughout the room. Neither can it excuse the extremely inappropriate behavior of their housekeeping. Around 9am, a male housekeeper suddenly just opened my door without asking permission while I (female) was half-naked in there. I managed to slam the door closed from the inside to prevent full entry when he did not seem to understand the absolute inappropriateness of his action. I don’t even want to imagine the situation if I still had slept or been in the shower at that moment. When confronting him a minute later, I was met with a creepy smile and seemingly no understanding of wrong-doing. A couple minutes later, he came back to my room again to tell me I should hang out the sign for not wanting room service, which makes no sense given I was checking out the same morning and would have never needed the service to begin with. I needed to firmly asking him to leave again and shut the door from the inside, giving me a few minutes to pack my things in record time and get the hell out of there. Never in my life have I been so creeped out by hotel staff and would definitely not recommend this place to other woman traveling on their own. I did inform the reception of the incident, who said they will take action, but it is of course hard to know if this will result in any improvement. Also, facing the backyard, there is a construction site with workers starting to yell and hammer at 6am.

Good stay, but bestfriend and I got a bit closer than we expected

Overall, our stay was great. The location was great, the price too and breakfast was real good. The room was a bit echo-ey, but the beds were comfortable (pillows were a bit small). The decision to have the shower in the room is unorthodox but we are women, we've gone to the gym together and we're adults... we can figure this one out easily. However, the toilet having a door and a gap at the bottom was something else truly. That was a level of closeness we did not anticipate, nor welcome.

Perfct place to stay. There are all the things, that a person needs. It would be better if the prices were a little bit lawer, but it's not a problem.
