Room was fine. Breakfast good. Location great for the conference (the reason why I booked the hotel). Biggest complaint - no iron & ironing board that could be delivered to the room. Felt very vulnerable in an ironing room (no CCTV) - anyone could have entered. It was extremely hot - no air-conditioning. I had to take several items of clothes to be ironed for the conference - nowhere to hang them. No water for the iron. No instructions for the iron - front desk said it was simple - maybe obvious to them, but not to me. I had silk clothes to iron. I would have preferred a standard iron. I became very hot/ stressed trying to iron my clothes - knowing that it was making me late for the conference. Would definitely not recommend this hotel to another female guest attending the conference. Having an iron in the room or delivered to the room is standard practice. Ironing rooms are a historic relic which belong in the past. As you can see, this really upset me.

At reception Salvatore was exceptionally helpful with assisting us lost luggage, where to buy clothes, essentials beyond his usual responsibilities. Numerous other staff were also helpful. However it was disappointing that when we were given an explanation regarding the breakfast setup the first morning, it was not explained that we could order, freshly squeezed juices or eggs off the menu. The final morning the floor was so sticky in certain areas that it was a safety issue. We paid for 3 nights, the TV did not work for 2 nights even though I did comment at reception. The highlight for our stay was the location and the outstanding customer service experience at reception.
