I had two bookings: one for work for the first days and privately for the weekend. Because I apparently booked different rooms, I had to change my room between the bookings whereas the rooms were actually exactly the same. There was no reason to make me move from one room to the other. Eventually, on my departure day, I asked if I could leave my luggage at the Ibis hotel in Hauptbahnhof, they didn’t know if it would be possible. Arrived there, the person said it’s not possible. What is the purpose of booking in a chain like Ibis if we could not use this opportunity ?

Regarding the room change between your two bookings: although the rooms may appear identical, they belonged to different room categories, which made a room move necessary in our system. We understand that this was inconvenient and will review how we can coordinate such situations more smoothly in the future. We would also like to clarify the situation regarding luggage storage at another ibis hotel. Although all ibis properties belong to the same brand family, each hotel operates independently and has its own security and space policies. For this reason, luggage storage can only be used by guests of the respective hotel, not by guests staying at other ibis locations. In many hotels, the available space for storing luggage is limited, so we must prioritise the belongings of guests currently staying with us. As an alternative, we kindly recommend the lockers available directly at Vienna Hauptbahnhof, which are specifically designed for safe and convenient luggage storage. Room was good but no amenities were in room like tissue paper, soap, coffee maker .

Nobody should access a room if the guest has not checked out from it (unless specifically required by the guest). That's how it's worked in all the hotels I've been to in my life. The housekeeping service accessed my room while I was in it and without my consent before checkout time, and disturbed me twice on my second morning there. Unacceptable.
