We arrived very early in the morning and the receptionist on duty did not much to make our waiting time which wae exceptionally long easy . She didn't offer us to go upstairs to have breakfast or coffee I had to initiate it and while waiting later in the lobby after came back some hours later after taking a stroll in the surrounding she didn't even bother to offer us water one of the bell boys did on his initiative only after I lost my temper and told her that we want to downgrade our room because I saw many guests arriving and getting their rooms upon arrival she commenced to move and we actually received another suite. The suite was to our liking but the heating didn't work well and we had to ask for a heatind device . Contary to the excpirience with the receptionist I'd like to appreciate the concierge Victor who was very helppful and did his utmost to assist us same goes for the service in the restaurant during breakfast and dinner

I couldn’t fault the service or the room all of which were fabulous and your staff were very friendly. My only feedback would be that it would be nice if they asked you in advance if you would like to book the restaurant as it’s disappointing not to be able to eat dinner or brunch there when you are a guest. Also you need more milk in the rooms!

The reception experience at the SO/ Vienna is consistently one of the worst within the Accor network. Reception is staffed by young girls who are unfriendly and have no clue what they are doing. No recognition of Platinum Status and I never get points credited automatically. You can see from my account that I stayed in 4 Accor properties over the past 10 days: Novotel Bucharest Mama Shelter Belgrade SO/ Vienna M Gallery Vienna Even though the SO/ Vienna is your premium product, I rate the customer experience the lowest of these four properties.

If you dont have problem to pay 250e per night ,for sure this is your choice . Rooms are very nice and clean,with grek view. But i think best thing in hotel were people from stuff... reception,bar,restaurant . They are very kind and pleasant . Also cocktails in bar are great!

I have to admit that both my sister and I are in full agreement that our stay with you has been the best city break we have ever had for many reasons. We have both travelled extensively and not only that have both worked overseas for many years and stayed in some of the world’s top hotels, whom would have believed there would have been one in Vienna.

Despite being promised a kingsize bed we had two single bed that drove apart during night leaving us falling in between. Service were we complained the next morning did not offer any help but told us we should have informed them during night, and mails we’re not being answered.

Hotel is fantastic, rooms beautiful, view amazing, wellness very convenient. The service is nog bad, but definitely not perfect. During the say, all kind of details were not ok. Not a problem as such, but added there are not at the level that can be expected from you : E.G. > we were asked to do the online check in, so that our key would be ready when arriving. It was not, they did it when we were waiting for it > we had one breakfast in the room, but the forgot the jam, the honey, .... > we had a late check out, but were locked outside our room (naked in bathrobe to go the sauna....) because the card was deactivated > ...

This should not happened, of course! Our Director of Wine & Dine has been informed and addressed your comments to the room service team. Our key card system is configured for the official check-out time at noon. The key cards don’t work later than noon due to security reasons. I am sorry that the team didn’t inform you about this detail when confirming the late check-out. Our Welcome Manager will remind them of the proper communication in order to avoid such unfortunate situations in the future. I was told that we have only one breakfast included in our stay and that we should pay for other person. Once I've realized that I have confirmation for two breakfast (after two days) we asked for correction and money back for two days, but we did not get it back. Also, on third day when we wanted to have breakfast again we've been told that there is only one breakfasts paid.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed for three nights here. As soon as we arrived at the airport we were greeted by someone from the hotel for our transfer from the airport. The man who picked us up was polite and shared his knowledge of Vienna with us, identifying famous landmarks and ensured that the music, temperature and everything inbetween was to our satisfaction. Upon entering the hotel we knew we were in for a treat, with staff kindly taking our luggage directly to our room. We stayed in “So cosy” which was beyond perfect. From the views, to the amazing bathtub and the amazingly comfortable bed. We ate at the “Loft” restaurant, which was fairly pricey, but well worth it for the food, views, drink and the service that we received. Overall, I cannot recommenced this hotel enough. Thank you so much for giving myself and my partner the best experience of Vienna for his birthday. We will definitely be returning in the future⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

1. Check in took long 2. Staff have difficulties understanding english as they continue making mistakes. 3. House keeping took 40 minutes to bring an item. 4. During a rainy day my room windows were leaking. 5. IMPORTANT - they do not clean the sheets and towels daily, which is terrible. The towels with my eye make up on them was folded again without being replaced. Same with pillow covers.

Unfortunately, we had technical issues at the welcome desk that day. Therefore, the check-in took a little bit longer then usually. Our team tried their best to make the check-in as smooth as possible. Of course, the difficulties concerning the English language should not happen and I have addressed your comment to our Welcome Manager. He has already taken the necessary measures to avoid this from happening in the future. Besides, I have shared your feedback regarding the negligence of cleaning in the room with our SO Neat & Tidy Manager. We support the Accor initiative of sustainability by placing cards in the bathroom and guests can inform us in case they want to reuse their towels. If so, we do not change the towels (change is automatically scheduled for the third day of stay then). I fully understand that towels with stains should be changed without questioning. Please be assured that I have personally talked to the team about this incident and also about the waiting time. Our Chief Engineer has been informed about the windows leaking during the rainy day, however he couldn’t find any possible vulnerabilities. He will monitor this closely in order to avoid any damages for our guests and the hotel. We stayed in SO/ Viena several times and the last stay was disappointment for us. Room was not ready 2 hour after time of check in, queue at waiting at the breakfast, bathrobe in room not for alll of us, dirty cup in SPA, no desinfection in fitness. All this things during one night stay

The hotel is still, as I knew it, a majestic one, modern and very well located. All employees were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet couldn't be better! Some technical aspects were not functioning as one would expect. Help was fast there, but could not always help straight away. The main issues we had: 1. There was a continuous stream of cold/fresh air which made the room feel cold. The stream was powerful enough to feel it by holding the hand up near the grille. This air stream had nothing to do with the AC and hence, could not be switched off from the AC controller. This has been confirmed by the technician sent to our room. Thanks to the friendly technician, we have been offered to spend the night in a different room where this was not the case. Next day the problem has been solved and we moved back. 2. The window could not be kept open. We helped ourselves with an apple, and later with a roll of toilet paper. Luckily none dropped on the street below. The technician told us the works on the window are a bigger project. I guess the problem is not just in the room we had. The very heavy windows are a burden for the opening system and would probably need to be serviced regularly.

unbelievably late to get my Suite (4.30pm ) even I have checked in online to stated my arrival time and as a Platinum member, hardly believe it happened !!! Breakfast was good but not the attitude from the reception. House keeping was worse , cannot get what we want for 3 times.... ( not coming back again )

A comfortable hotel with the usual Sofitel beds and toiletries. However, the room was very oddly configured with an open plan bathroom, not ideal if friends are sharing. Also there was no carpet and the floor was very hard and cold, noisy too from the sounds of heels on these floors upstairs and alongside. Room cleaning was excellent. Breakfast had a good selection, but the restaurant was overcrowded and the egg service was terrible.

However, I am truly sorry about the lack of service at breakfast. I have forwarded your comment to the restaurant manager and we will take the necessary measures to improve the quality of service and the staff’s attitude. Please accept my apologies for the inconveniences caused. Indeed, breakfast can be crowded, especially between 9 and 10 am, due to high occupancy. It is regrettable that you didn’t feel comfortable in the room. We offer a open bathroom so that our guests can enjoy a great view over the city. The sliding doors can be closed for more privacy. Our hotel doesn’t have carpets in the rooms as it is part of modern and pure design concept. We understand that this isn’t everyone’s taste.
