Beautiful hotel, great location, but unfortunately slightly unprofessional, rooms are great yet would rate it 5 stars, cleaning team unprofessional, breakfast wasn’t fresh in fact was very bad.

Beautiful building

The building is beautiful, but the service was tremendously disappointing. The room that I originally booked — SO BLACK — was not provided to me as there was a technical malfunction with the room and it was unavailable. Upon entering the room that I did eventually receive, there was an enormous dead moth inside of one of the two sinks in the bathroom. Around the moth was some black debris. It was disturbing. I ordered room service for breakfast on both days, however both times, when pressing the room service button on the telephone, I was transferred to the front desk who told me that room service was unable to answer the telephone at the moment. The front desk took my room service order, however both times, the order was wrong. The person who brought my room service order up to my room had to go back several times to correct items that were not ordered correctly by the front desk. The one overwhelmingly positive aspect to the hotel is the restaurant, Das Loft. The service there was absolutely fantastic. Other than Das Loft, I am not certain that I would recommend SO/ Vienna in the future.

Very nice hotel - but the morning breakfast service could be better.

My stay at SO/ was great and I always choose Sofitel with trust. The room looked great, the bed super comfortable, the view is amazing and the breakfast one of the best. However, in my room (1304) there were many stains on the chair and the armchair, which made me not want to sit on them. I think they should be replaced or cleaned, because it kind of ruins the beauty of the room. For a 5* hotel, stains on the chairs should not exist/be visible. I took some photos too, but unfortunately I cannot attach them here. Otherwise, nothing to complain about :)

Hi mr klaus, we loved your hotel, it was a great pleasure to stay there and we loved viena so much. Everything was fine, the room,the view, breakfast was delicious...but most important thing is your staff!!! I dont remember all the names, but I won't forget Boris,Mohamed, Helene, Natalie and Kamil... They were nice, always smiling and helpful. You should be prude of them!!! Your hotel is 5 stars, but the staff make it 10 stars!!! With all respects...A. Rinat and Itshak from ISRAEL.

Arriving in an empty hotel is very unusual, but it is the difficult reality now. I was greeted warmly and friendly, the room was prepared and check in was very smooth. I had a beautiful room overlooking the city with a welcome greeting from management. For my business meeting everything was perfectly arranged and catered for. Unfortunately I could not enjoy the highlight of the hotel - the loft restaurant on the top floor which boasts stunning views over the city, and normally exquisite food and great drinks and music. Breakfast through roomservice was equally good, as expected and check out and departure friendly and efficient as always. I hope business will be better for this and all other hotels and restaurants. The most beautiful panoramic view of Vienna only in this hotel! I have stayed at this hotel many times, the hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to all the places of interest, an excellent breakfast in a restaurant with panoramic views of Vienna, stylish, laconic rooms with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. Pleasant and attentive staff, but the hotel management began to more formally treat regular guests, as for the Platinum member, if you had always done a double upgrade before, if it was possible, now everything is done clearly according to the rules, only one category more, maybe this is due to more stringent rules! .. It is unusual to encounter such a formal attitude in French Accor hotels , the impression is that they have become German and everything is done clearly according to the rules and a step to the side! .. So everything is fine, thank you very much to the entire hotel team, we will come again!

If you dont have problem to pay 250e per night ,for sure this is your choice . Rooms are very nice and clean,with grek view. But i think best thing in hotel were people from stuff... reception,bar,restaurant . They are very kind and pleasant . Also cocktails in bar are great!

Despite being promised a kingsize bed we had two single bed that drove apart during night leaving us falling in between. Service were we complained the next morning did not offer any help but told us we should have informed them during night, and mails we’re not being answered.
