First, I am a Gold Card holder, and pre Corona Virus a frequent user of Accor hotels. Second, I have stayed in the Novotel Munich City a number of times, and had good experiences. Third, on this occasion I was not offered a room upgrade as a Gold Card holder, and also told about staff shortages and so the room would not be attended to each day. I booked for 5 nights, and on day 3 I had to ask for the room to be cleaned and serviced - which was done. On day 5 the room was prepared again. I was offered compensation of Euro 5 for the lack of service! This is very poor compensation, and I request a an appropriate addition of points to my account. All in all a very disappointing experience.

Dear Mr. H., I sincerely apologize for the various problems and staff shortages of the external service provider in house-keeping, which simply overwhelmed us after the lockdown. I ask for your understanding that the restart is a bit bumpy after the long "dark" months - but I assure you that we will do our best to be (almost) perfect hosts again as quickly as possible, as we claim is. Until then, we will pass on the costs for the lack of room cleaning 1: 1 to our guests as a discount, including a free drink at the bar as a small token of apology. It would be nice if you would give us another chance, which I would like to ask of you. I very much hope that we will be able to fully convince you of us and our service on your next visit. Was ok, clean rooms, great locations, but no amenities as other Novotel hotels like Berlin, also should be publish the wellness restrictions in your hotel information prior to do the booking, specially that children is not allowed after 8:00 pm this is not good

The hotel is up to the Novotel standards. Positive feedback: Location, the Spa, room size, very quiet - ideal for a good night's rest. Areas of improvement: Understaffed and therefore, service was clearly under expectations. In summary, I think I like the Novotel Arnulfpark Munich better.

No announcement in advance of down grading of the service, no room cleaning during the stay

Overall the stay was not bad but could be improve. 1)Lacking of toilet amenities or maybe it can be requested from the housekeeping department, which i did not bother since we brought ours just in case. 2)Wifi at our room wasn’t working on the last 2 days. Reported but nil action taken. Probably when it happened it was on our last night. 3) For ppl outside of germany, we are not aware of the fpp2 mask, perhaps you could have give that as pandemic-necessary-item in the room. Like i said overall the stay was not bad one but also not a great one.

Very friendly, condition of rooms is poor

The condition of the rooms is very poor. There is only little space for storing clothes. The space is okay if you travel alone, but for up to 4 people, there is far too little storage. Also Hooks are missing. There are two hooks in the room (and a reck for towels). Several services are not availible - without advanced information. A bistro (not restaurant!) opend on July, 27th. It was impossible to get a cocktail or longdrink. They hade no ice. Which would have been easy to change, as there is a garage 200 meters away, selling ice cubes and crushed ice for low prices. There were problems in all rooms we had (4 in total) In room 1 there was no aircondition working, could not be fixed on the next day (no information given - had to go and ask) In room 2 there was no bed (and no housekeeping at 5 pm!) prepared for a child and the safe was closed In room 3 the fridge was dirty (sticky) and not cooling. In room 4 (which we kept) the water boiler was broken, the handle of the shower door was not was not safe and the speakers were not working. On the next day, after asking again to get everything fixed in the room, we got a new boiler and the handle was fixed. Spearkers were not working for another 2 days, then we left. We were not offered any discount (except 2 free non alcoholic drinks we did not consume). For one day we had breakfast in the hotel. Which was a bad choice. Eggs were cold, no bread, no whole wheat, no fresh vegetables, no omlettes, terrible coffee (bitter, does not taste like coffee), hot chocolate disgusting (sugered water with no taste of chocolate) and a very poor choice of fruit and herbal tea. Ingridients of tea not availible. Poor choice of cereal. No grains, dry fruit (except grapes), no omlette service (standard in Austria and Germany at 4* hotels). Poor local food. "Rösti" was not crispy, only fat and warm instead of hot. No Leberkäs, no mustard. Poor choice of ham and saussage.

The hotel was nice and centrally located. Great breakfast buffet and nice facilities. Booked two rooms here to bookend our Austrian ski trip. For the 1st two night stay, we were arriving tired from an overnight flight. So, we booked an early check in as we would be arriving around noon. However, one of the rooms wasn't ready until almost 14:00. What's the point of charging an early check-in fee to not be able to check-in early? On the return trip 2 night stay, we discovered that the two rooms we booked together, months in advance, weren't together,. In fact, not even on the same floor. Again what's the point of booking rooms together in advance if the hotel isn't going to put them together? The rooms were comfortable but super hot. On second stay, I had heat off and window open but still too hot in room for comfortable sleep.

We enjoyed our stay at the Novotel. It is about 5 minutes from metro. The rooms were large and clean. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Munich.

Very nice hotel and spacy room. The hotel location is not right in the center, but in walking distance. Spa only has only one sauna (for men and women each), an additional steam sauna or the like would be great.

This hotel has the right offers for its price: nice and modern rooms, bar and restaurant offering, and room for relaxation. The hotel is well connected for public transportation in the city and is next to a shopping mall with plenty of food offers.
