I have been staying in the Novotel Munich City regularly over the last couple of years (featuring some long-term stays also) and for me this hotel and its friendly staff are the best I've ever experienced. Always a friendly and supportive word, they never stop being helpful, and the quality of everything, from the rooms to the breakfast to the wellness centre to the lobby to the chocolate (!) - I will always stay here when visiting Munich, as it's always a warm welcome. Thank you!

The room was nice and clean, and the hotel was centrally located without being overrun with traffic noise. The big problem was the never-ending music in the hallway, which we could hear in the room. The music was loud enough to keep us awake and to wake us up. We complained several evenings. The result of the complaint was that the music was turned off in the evening, only to be turned back on in the morning early enough to wake us. I would warn visitors to stay away unless they can sleep through noise.

Good location, could walk to the old town or take the train. Unfortunately tram is not available due to road works, but the fault of the hotel. Clean and well maintained hotel. Lovely to have just of the included spa facilities. Relaxing to use the swimming pool and sauna.

Very disappointed with hotel staff and amenties

Overall stay with Novotel was good. But this time, I was given upgraded room due to my Accor membership for the first night stay. Subsequently when i check in second time i was given a normal room due to overbooking. I have booked my room ahead of time and i should be booked ahead for an upgraded room right? There are one reception staff who was not so experienced. He told me i have paid for the room, in fact i did not. and the second check in time, he was not able to split the invoice when i asked him to split a day to my personal account
