Dear Ms E., Thank you very much for your visit and for taking the time to tell us about your experience at Novotel München City. We regret that the room layout, the faclities and the temperature did not meet your expectations; please allow us to express our sincerest apologies. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problems and prevent future occurrence. Regarding the air conditioning, please allow me to note that it only allows for a certain range of individual adjustments. In general, our system is set to a maximum difference of 7°C from the outside temperature (DIN EN 16798), in accordance with the recommendations of the German Federal Environment Agency, to avoid negative effects on our guests’ health. Unfortunately, when outside temperatures are unusually high, the system reaches its limits. In such cases, we are pleased to provide our guests with an additional fan. Perhaps you'd like to try a modern room in the section of our hotel that opened in 2023 during your next stay. We appreciate your sharing of your experiences, so that we can improve the quality of our service. Dear S. B. Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am very sorry that your recent stay did not meet the expectations created by your previous visit. I understand your disappointment regarding our swimming pool policy. The restriction for children and teenagers after 8:00 p.m. has been in place since spring 2025 and is clearly communicated on our website. As a family-friendly hotel, we welcome guests of all ages; however, we also need to balance the expectations of families with those of couples and individual travellers seeking a quieter wellness environment in the evening. While we appreciate that this policy may not suit every guest, it was introduced following considerable feedback and has been well received overall. I would also like to address the animal you observed in our bar area. We took this matter very seriously and immediately arranged for an inspection by our professional pest control partner. It was confirmed that the animal was a mouse rather than a rat and that this was an isolated incident. Regular inspections and preventive measures are in place throughout the hotel, and all recent checks have been without findings. That said, I am sorry that you felt our team did not take the situation seriously enough. While the correct procedures were followed behind the scenes, we will use your feedback as an opportunity to further reinforce the importance of clear and empathetic communication in such situations. Although I regret that your stay was overshadowed by these concerns, I hope you will consider giving us another opportunity in the future.
