Mercure Belo Horizonte Vila da Serra Hotel 4 stars

I have stayed at your hotel for more than fifteen years and have no reason to look elsewhere. Unfortunately, the last year has been a mess for us “regulars” due in part to Vale’s need for the hotel’s unsold inventory. This situation is a passing moment and will end soon. My loyalty to your hotel will not fade due to the current situation. Last week I needed a room quickly; Thursday night (7/10) and maybe Friday night (8/10). At first look, it wasn’t promising, but I was used to that situation. However, I got some extra effort from Luis Carlos, Fernando and Daniele and a half hour later I had a room; a little extra effort from them, a huge amount of relief for me. It’s details like this that build brand loyalty which is why I’m not going any place else. Thank them for me. Robert C.

The fridge doesn’t work very well Very noise

I ititally was given a room that had not been cleaned properly. There were hairs on the toilet. But the staff assigned me to a different room which was a bit better. The room was in a corner of the building adjacent to mechanical facilities of the hospital next door which caused alot of noise in the room even with the windows closed. The room was ok, but clearly showed much wear and tear with scratches on the floor and other blemishes. The sofa was not comfortable and quite old. The toilet was very inefficient at flushing the waste. I would have to hold the button down for 10 or more seconds to get everything to flush, and that was not good enough at times. Fernando at reception was quite helpful and very friendly. He was quick to accommodate any requests that I had. He seems to be excellent at his job.

Good experience, except bathroom floor needed cleaned upon my arrival. I appreciate having plates and glasses available for use, but would be nice if silverware (2 sets of a knife, fork and spoon) was also provided. Also would appreciate having a top sheet on the bed. I had one the first 2 nights, and that was it.

Hotel is fine. Everything seemed clean but it is older. The little sofa-bed and bed were worn but clean. Restaurant next door was good and convenient. Workout room equipment was nice and all the equipment worked.

I've been staying at Mercure hotels both in Belo Horizonte and Sao Paulo (Guarulhos) for years. They are comfortable and convenient for my usually short stays. This stay, in particular, was due to a sad personal reason, but Mercure's personnel is always helpful, courteous, and reassuring, and the accommodations comfortable and well maintained.

Room is ok, does not smell good, same old low-quality bathroom amenities.

First night I arrived I was allocated a room which had a stale odor, worn and the toilet did not flush properly. Thank you to Fernando at your Reception for fixing the problem and giving me a new room. Convenient location. Rooms could be better for business travel as small desks, difficult to access powerpoints and poor light above desk.

It is ridiculous not getting the same services and amenities if my reservation was done through another travel agency. You need to review it ASAP...with a risk of losing a customer!

see above restuarant could be better claims to be italian but there is only 4 pastas on the menu, but many many pizza types

The front desk staff do not speak English (other than Ferdinand), the gym needs a good steam clean, the a/c in my room didn’t work and breakfast is identical every day. We tried to hold a conference, however the noise outside made it almost impossible to hear each other.
