Literally at the old city gate! A 15 minute walk from the Vienna catamaran. It’s a somewhat older Ibis and not remodeled, but it’s perfectly fine for two or three nights. Nice staff and well kept. Quiet. Mattress could use replacing. Just below the castle area, which also has some cafes, and on the street coming down from it where there are services. Busy with travelers.

Prime location just minutes on foot from the old town, and ten mins walk up to the castle. Parking was secure (under the hotel) and cost €18 a night. A bit steep, but worth it for peace of mind. You get a token to open the garage when you check in. Room was very basic and minimalist (no fridge, kettle or extra bathroom goodies), but we knew this before arriving and it was clean and perfectly functional if - literally - all you need is a bed for the night. Air con just about cooled the room enough to allow a comfy sleep (it was over 30 degrees during the day). We didn’t have breakfast because there are so many lovely cafes close by. Would recommend if you’re trying to keep costs down, but want to be right in the heart of the historic area.

I booked the coronation room which was well done with a nice view of the church. The hotel is well located, town centre is a 7 minute walk plus there are food and coffee options nearer. WiFi was fine as was the shower. The Aircon was poor, worked a bit but noisy and slow. The bed wasn't comfortable and most annoying the sheets were too small so all scrunched up overnight.
