The only small issue experienced was disturbance from guests on the last night in the room opposite. The phone in the room failed to work and had to walk down to reception to highlight the problem. The guests were causing a disturbance in the corridor until about 02:00

We received a surprise upgrade to our room…the suite was amazing! One of the nicest rooms during our 10 day trip. The desk clerk checking us in was so friendly. When she advised that our traveling companions’ room was not ready at the same time as ours, she gave us a card to get free ice creams at the restaurant. My only wish is that the air conditioning would have been a bit colder but it was quite warm while we were there so I’m sure it would have been fine otherwise.

We love staying at the Novotel in Aachen. It is the perfect base for families exploring the city. The staff are so helpful and friendly. There are also nice touches such as a little welcome gift for children and a pushchair for exploring the city if you would like to borrow one. The rooms are spotless and spacious for children as well.

I think we were the only English people there and they made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was lovely and the staff always polite and helpful. The parking was good as well, we did have an issue first getting into the car park because we couldn't read the meter but the staff were helpful at reception
