Family of 4 stayed for 2 days. Hotel only 15 minutes walking to centre. Clean with several amenities. Great breakfast.

Having stayed in other Novotels, my expectations were in line with previous experiences; however this time I have been a bit disappointed with minors issues, yet the ones that make difference: pillows were not comforanle at all, and when asked for additional feather pillows, we were provided with very low quality foam pillows, saying those were the only alternative. The AC in the bedroom was working, however to cool the room it required hours at maximum speed/lowest temperature.

I booked this room based on this room description: Stylish, air-conditioned room with a minibar, cable TV and a spacious bathroom. In reality there was no minibar in the room. I kindly asked one receptionist to ask housekeeping staff to check if by chance they kept my food that I could not stock in a minibar (as there was none). She didn't even bother to pretend to go and ask. Furthermore, I requested two extra pillows at check-in. The receptionist agreed, yet when I arrived in the room, there were no extra pillows. I had to go back down to the desk and ask a second time.

Regarding your interaction with our housekeeping staff, it is possible that there was a misunderstanding due to a language barrier, as the staff member may not have fully understood your request. We also apologize for the inconvenience regarding the additional pillows. This should have been arranged as requested, and we regret that you had to follow up again at reception. I do like staying at the Novotel. The breakfast was supurb. I was disappointed that my room didn't have a refrigerator like the other rooms I have had before.

This hotel is located in the center of Aachen. Everything is nearby. It is very clean. The food was great also. What we were not very satisfied was the service. They don't have a refrigerator in the room neither a phone. We called them from an outside line to ask for an extra banket. They asked as to come down to the reception desk to get it or we would have to wait for a while. This does not seem like a room service to me. The next morning we went down to the lounge and asked just for a coffee, since breakfast was not included in our reservation, and they asked us to go outside of the hotel, get one from a coffee shop and bring it to the hotel to drink it. Odd! The other day, in the same occassion they said that we could order one and they would bring it to the lounge for us. All these happened with a very friendly and polite staf. Anyway.
