The hotel is quiet, a bit offside the city center. It is conveniently reachable by car but walking is also possible (30min from the central train station or the old town, though the walk is nice). The rooms are relatively new, but not very big, they lack a central light switch, the bathrooms are equipped with shower. There is no gym either which is a big pity for a four star hotel. The hotel has an outside pool but this works only in the summer. The breakfast is tasty, abundant, with a lot of variety and the staff is very friendly. The bar has a good selection of wines and drinks. Overall, the hotel is clean, well maintained but could be a bit more cozy (e.g. the staircase or the lobby area).

In general OK. Remarks: Parking, gate was wide open, very expensive fee 39 € for 3 nights is a bit too much for hotel guests paying already the hotel. The rewards points expire automatically before you can use, this is not the case with 2 other big hotel chains. Negative point maybe I'll not return at Mercure.
