Overall, we had a good time at the hotel, as always. However, the noise from the neighboring room was really annoying this time. We already knew the rooms aren't very soundproof, but the guests next to us (in room 221, I believe) made a lot of noise all night until about 2:30 AM. It was incredibly frustrating and disrupted our sleep. Aside from that, we still appreciate our stays with you, but we wanted to bring this to your attention so it can be addressed.

I drove from the UK to our company summer offsite event in Valkenberg. It was supposed to be a last supercar road trip before a car change. In the UK the M25 was shut completely for 3 hours, I missed my Eurotunnel train and ended up 5 hours late. By the time I reached the hotel it was 11pm, not 6pm as planned. Checked in, got food and went to sleep. Also was able to leave my car outside the hotel as it was so late (which I was very grateful for).

Welcoming staff and a nicely located hotel. The rooms were a little dated perhaps but the river view with Beavers made up for it.

Noisy room, minimalistic breakfast and heavy pot covers with no proper place to put them, hospitality personal is not focusing on service, we needed to search for them a couple of times and they where chatting in group not paying attention to guests. service is just too slow. At breakfast they refused to make us sunny side up eggs. Reception personal is excellent, they searched the hospitality staff for us. Poor menu for drinks and bites, very limited choice. Not enough pillows in the room, receptionist provided when requested. Not enough power outlets in the room to charge batteries. No toilet ventilation. No lights control from the bed. This hotel is way overpriced for the minimalistic structure and hospitality service.

good location, friendly personnel, good service. Some noise during the night from young people. The concrete construction of the building could be better: dilatation resulting in cracks, use self-compacting concrete, pour concrete continuously, etcetera. The facade is not beautiful.

Our stay was good, but it wasn’t at the level that we have come to expect of Mercure. The setting is very nice, and obviously the hotel caters to cyclists which we hadn’t realised until our arrival but were absolutely fine with. It was frustrating to see that there is a car park but that it is reserved for staff and unavailable to clients. We were able to drive the car up to the hotel to unload cases and then use a public car park nearby, but that isn’t particularly convenient. The staff were friendly. The room had a good layout but the decoration was very tired. The walls all had marks up and down them, and the tiles in the shower room were all stained with limescale from use. We would return if we needed to, but wouldn’t rush to do so or to recommend it to friends.
