A comfortable stay with basic facilities.

We were just passing through so this hotel was convenient and reasonably priced for the facilities with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The only downside was the smoking area was directly outside the front door so it just smells of cigarettes which isn’t particularly appealing as a welcoming for families.

Easy late automated check in. Microwaveable food available in a vending machine if wanted. Comfortable clean typically Ibis room. Breakfast was perfect. We would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Odd but Clean

We had heard good things about Lisieux and were surprised to have to navigate an office park to find the hotel. We were arriving late so had to check in via the kiosk in the foyer. We had never seen such a thing before, always being welcomed by human front desk staff at every other hotel, motel or inn. As 2 women travelers, it was unnerving to use a key pad to enter the room, not a key. There was no safety chain on the inside of the door so anyone else with the pin code could enter our room anytime during the night. My adult daughter used a wedge and some of our personal items and luggage to blockade the door so we could sleep more at ease. The room was basic and clean. TV and desk are fastened to the wall giving it a prison house feel. Bathroom was very clean but only outfitted with a bathmat and 2 towels. (Many women appreciate 2 towels - one for their head since many have long hair and one for the body). There was no hand towel. The hotel and surrounding area were quiet overnight. We misunderstood the breakfast time and arrived downstairs 10 mins late so staff had already put up the chairs and told us we could take food on trays to our room and eat there. With minimal furniture in the room, we again felt like prisoners, sitting on a mattress eating off a tray. All in all, my 6 is for the cleanliness of the room and bathroom but I can't say I'd opt to stay there again.

This choice, rather than a 24-hour front desk, allows us to maintain the economical rates you were able to enjoy. Contrary to your mention, the access code you received only opens your specific room and not all rooms. The access codes consist of six digits, offering about one million possible combinations, making unauthorized access to your room extremely unlikely. We appreciate your feedback regarding the number of towels and the breakfast hours. It is important to understand that the services of our hotel are adapted to the budget offered. For services such as a 24-hour night porter, four towels per room, and breakfast served until noon, you would need to look at four-star hotels, whose rates are about 3 to 4 times higher than ours. This is not the first time I come but unfortunately the room was so small regarding the last time
