It is a cheap hotel, I knew that, but it was worse than any other hotel I've ever stayed at. I'm 46 and have travelled a lot. Problems as above. I think the most fundamental problem is that other room doors slamming caused the interior of our room (mainly bathroom) to audibly rattle. This kept us awake. I guess it's pre-fab sections stacked together? It's at end of life and needs completely demolishing.

Comfortable stay, and excellent breakfast make this place an excellent stop over 20 minutes from the ferry. Really close to rocade, and easy to find. 24 hour service is a great added extra when you’ve spent hours (!) queuing to get out of the port. The night receptionist was a lovely guy who made us feel very welcome. What’s not to like? At less than £76 for. Bed and breakfast it represents brilliant value.

The hotel was very nice and clean, the bed comfortable and the continental breakfast food choices, were good and very plentiful. Our room was over the car park and so cars were arriving there until very late and there was a lot of traffic noise from somewhere nearby. A building close by was lit up very brightly all night which was annoying as it came under and around the window blind.

We choose the IBIS Bretangne Caen to put us close to the Normandy beaches. The hotel was nice, and within walking distance to a number of restaurants. Parking was good.

the room was too hot with no air conditioning. The window only opened a small amount and the noise throughout the night from the road was ongoing. Our room was not made up when we opened door and had to be given another room which turned out to be smaller and too hot

Room was comfortable and clean. However, room and hotel show signs of wear. Although it is a budget hotel, a few more towels would have been good. The shower room was separated from the room only by a curtain. The Staff was very helpful.
