I really enjoyed it. The only minus I could see in the design of the bathroom and furniture. But the quality of sleep was perfect and the staff was super friendly.

Was cold most of the night. Turned heater pipes on high...but that didn’t help. One heater is hidden behind the room curtains, another is in the bathroom. There was a cold rain falling Friday night after much warmer days, so maybe that was the problem. Have stayed at Ibis brands and expected Mercure to be of a higher standard quality ? Even Ibis hotels have newer furnishings and newer beds. I think all the guests stayed on the first floor....this is customary in some hotels so the maids don’t have to traverse everywhere to clean the few rented rooms. Beds on first floor are used more and hence.....beds are not as comfortable. Mine wasn’t up to par. Asked reception about getting a room with a tub bath. But was told none were available. I guess only long term apartments have tubs. Mercure is supposed to be higher quality than economy, I thought. Staff was great. Friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was good. Wondered if this property was always a Mercure brand or was just entered into the Accor line of hotels.
