Dear Novotel Katowice Team, Unfortunately, our recent stay at the Novotel Katowice did not meet our expectations or reflect the standard we have come to associate with the Accor/Novotel group. At approximately 200 EUR per night, we found the room to be overpriced considering the following issues: -Sofa bed: The sofa bed was too small and, in our opinion, not suitable for two children. It was also very uncomfortable: both halves of the bed were noticeably bowed upward, while there was insufficient padding in the middle. We also feel that a room with such sleeping arrangements should not be advertised as accommodating up to four persons without clearly stating the dimensions of the sofa bed. In our experience, this was by far the smallest and least comfortable sofa bed we have encountered within the Accor group. -Toilet seat: The toilet seat was loose. -Odour: There was an unpleasant odour coming from the toilet. -Bathroom door hangers: The door hanger on the toilet-door was defective. -Gluten-free breakfast options: There was only one gluten-free bread product available, which was a rather limited choice for guests requiring gluten-free options. We intentionally choose hotels within the Accor-group because we have generally had very good experiences with the group in the past. This is particularly important to us when travelling in transit, as we value the predictability and reliability of staying within a hotel group we know and trust. Unfortunately, this particular stay was not a pleasant experience and fell significantly short of our expectations. That said, we would also like to mention the positive aspects of our stay. The swimming pool and saunas were excellent, and we also enjoyed the breakfast overall, apart from the very limited gluten-free selection. We hope that this feedback will be taken constructively and that the issues mentioned above can be addressed to improve the experience for future guests. Kind regards, Janez P.

Staying with my two teenagers, this hotel once again confirmed why we love this chain - the service was top, check-out until 12:00 was convenient, and kids stay and eat breakfast for free, which was absolutely superb. While I enjoyed reading from their book collection, the children loved the SPA zone, fully stocked with pool accessories and run by a very sweet staff member. It’s also great that they have a fitness gym and a play corner for younger kids. The overall vibe was fantastic, despite a few room details like a loose shower holder and robes available at reception rather than in the room. The kids were disappointed when the gaming console broke, and body lotion after the pool would be a welcome addition to the provided toiletries, but it was still a wonderful stay.
