The hotel was nice overall, and I enjoyed my stay. The only real issue was that the air conditioning didn't seem to work particularly well, so the room was warmer than expected. I also accidentally forgot my UK-to-Europe travel adapter. Most hotels I've stayed at usually have spare adapters available behind reception, but unfortunately this hotel didn't have any. One other observation was that the front desk always seemed very busy, and there was often a queue whenever I needed assistance.

Our stay was overshadowed by a serious child safety incident. Our daughter sustained a blistering burn after touching the bedside reading lamp located next to the bed while we were reading bedtime books. One bedside lamp remained cool to the touch, while the other caused a burn. We were told it was “common sense” not to touch the lamp, despite its location beside the bed in a family room. After the incident, the hotel confirmed they replaced the bulbs with ones that “produce less heat,” yet maintained that our room was “up to standard.” If the room was truly safe, why was the lamp changed? We were disappointed not only by the injury itself, but by the dismissive response and the lack of accountability.
