I would have liked to give the highest rating because the hotel is truly magnificent and, overall, the stay was very enjoyable. However, I do not feel comfortable giving full marks due to some shortcomings in the service provided by the reception and the bar staff. At check-in, no information was given about the hotel facilities or recommendations on what to visit in the city. When I asked for restaurant suggestions, I was simply handed a leaflet and told, “I don’t know about the restaurant, sir.” When I requested assistance with making a restaurant reservation, the receptionist insisted on me using my personal phone, which resulted in additional international call charges for me. Additionally, a pre-authorization for incidentals was taken at check-in; however, at the bar, I was informed that it was not possible to charge expenses to the room. When I asked for clarification at reception, I was simply told “system error,” without any further explanation or solution. In conclusion, the stay was overall excellent, but from a group like Accor I expect a higher level of professionalism, especially in properties of this caliber
