After last minute hotel cancellation I was rebooked to ibis in the middle of the night. Night manager did the job but I got a treatment of the "idiot foreigner" and after I left reception and made my way to the elevator the receptionist shared details of my story in Polish with the night guard. Maybe they thought I cannot recognize international words in Polish version. Not cool.

As always in IBIS, the Warsaw one was extremely clean. It has a nice location, near to many nice touristic attraction.

The room was nice, although a bit dark. I liked the mirror and the open wardrobe design. Cleaning service was fast and discreet. However, upon arrival, I found a hair on the sink and there was a wet spot under the bed. Additionally, the room smelled as if someone had been smoking e‑cigarettes and had just been in the room shortly before my arrival. The room didn’t smell fresh, and neither did the bed linen. The weakest point of the stay was the breakfast. On Sunday at 9:30 there was very little bread left—just half a loaf that was crumbling. It wasn’t refilled. There were also no cakes or croissants—only crumbs left on the trays. On Monday at 9:00 I was told there were no scrambled eggs as breakfast was “almost over.” Seriously? Breakfast was supposed to last until 10:00—six people who arrived after me had to ask the staff to prepare scrambled eggs. Other than that, the staff was quite nice. However, the younger staff members appeared tired and somewhat annoyed. This appears to be a common attitude among Generation Z, as I’ve seen it in many places.
