The hotel itself is nice and the breakfast is good, but the service leaves much to be desired. I wanted to extend my stay, but since there were no free rooms available, the reception staff suggested I contact a woman named Rose Novais, who rents several rooms in the building. We agreed that I would rent her room the next day from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM for 350. However, the next day, she started bargaining. She came to the reception after 12:00 PM and informed me that she had decided to only offer the room until 6:00 PM for the same price. She refused to honor our original agreement or accommodate my needs. This behavior was highly unprofessional and unfair. As a result, I lost a lot of time and missed the opportunity to find another room in nearby hotels. I cannot recommend dealing with this person, and the hotel should be cautious about who they partner with for their guests.

​"I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is excellent, making it very easy to get around, and the room itself was comfortable and well-appointed. ​However, there were some significant issues during my stay. There was a noticeable amount of construction dust, which was quite unpleasant. I made a reservation stating that my family was allergic. More importantly, the air conditioning unit was leaking water. Although I brought this to the staff's attention, the issue was unfortunately not resolved and the unit continued to leak for the duration of my stay. While the hotel has great potential due to its location and room quality, the maintenance and responsiveness need improvement."

Hotel location nice but rooms and hotel needs updating. Both rooms and breakfast area too noisy! Too small for the number of guests hotel Mercure is trying to accomodate . Rooms and bathroom is quite small. All theStaff friendly and nice and helpful. Also my requirements for my room cleaning due to allergy was well looked after so thankyou to Housekeeping. We are staying there again for 2 days 17th 18th Dec.
