The stay in Grand Mercure was quite a reverse of what I expected it to be. There is zero to no status benefits & most importantly poor communication from the teams. 1. My room was set at a freezing cold at 15 degree & there was no way to maintain a 24 degree in the room without shutting off the AC completely. Which in return made the room stale & smelly. The staff wasnt able to help inspite of promises everyday. 2. I am quite an Accor fan & have slowly moving my way to a Diamond Status (currently Platinum). Plus I am a Brazil Signature member on top. I have walked into atleast 10 Accor properties over the last 1 year & bare minimum have had a printed note from the GM as basic courtesy. But In this hotel there was no courtesy extended, I just got whatsapp talking about welcome amenity being left for me on last day which also never came. 3. Also Only Half way through my stay I was told about my status benefits of being able to use the Pullman Lounge. 4. No late check out extension possible even for an hour meaning I left hotel at 8am. 5. The food esp for vegetarians is quite limited & bad as well. Overall the hotel is run very poorly, it only overpromises on Whatsapp but massively underdelivers. I was told we will give you better experience next time & I am sure there will be no next time.

I fully understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with the temperature issues in your room, the lack of clarity about your Platinum benefits, the missed welcome gesture, and the communication gaps you described. These are situations that should not happen, and I sincerely apologize for all the discomfort and disappointment caused. I am also very sorry that we did not offer you the level of recognition you deserve as a Platinum member and Brazil Signature guest. Your status should translate into a seamless and attentive experience, and it is clear we failed to deliver that during your stay. Regarding food options for vegetarians and the difficulty with late check-out, I understand how these details can significantly impact the overall stay, and I regret that we were not able to accommodate your needs better. I appreciate you highlighting all these points, as they help us address each issue directly with the teams involved. I am already escalating your comments internally to ensure we correct these failures immediately.
