I enjoyed a very peaceful stay in Ypres, despite the lockdown restrictions. As ever, the Novotel was welcoming, spotless and efficient. The hotel is perfectly situated for the town centre and the Menin Gate.

Everything was fine. The breakfast experience was a little bit bizarre but understandable due to the current situation. -> There was no toilet brush at the toilet in our room, this I would recommend to add to the room.

Very good location, brand new and modern room (with the biggest TV screen I've never seen in a hotel room), complete breakfast with all the Covid 19 precautions, friendly staff. The place to sleep in Ypres !

The room was clean and nice. Due to covid-19 the reception is only open starting 9AM, what is rather late to check out for business customers (on a Friday reception should be open starting 7AM).

Check-in and rooms as always very good. However airco was not working in entire hotel, and this during heat wave in Ieper. Management was not capable of giving a deadline for repair and suggested to try and find another hotel. Covid countermeasures were ok, except at breakfast. No cleaning of tables and 2 bubbles were served in parallel at 1 service station.

We book Accor hotels regularly. Everything were up to Novotel standards. However, the room had a faulty air conditioning on one of the hottest days of the year. We had to open the window for ventilation. The issue was not addressed until we left the hotel. The hotel implemented a new protocol for COVID-19 for their breakfast, wherein you have to converse with the server about each item you want on your tray. Among the 3 hotels that we had for this vacation so far, this is the only hotel that required exchanges between the servers and the guests, which defeats the purpose of reducing droplet production. Other hotels used individually wrapped food or prepacked food package for breakfast. The hotel is centrally located though.

Even with all the restrictions in place , the Hotel did it's upmost to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.The level of cleanliness was outstanding. The breakfast was served to us , but still had all the usual items available. Cannot fault the Hotel or it's staff who did everything possible to help. An excellent Hotel for visits to Ypres and Flanders Fields.

Everything was spotlessly clean - all the restrictions in place with the exception of queuing for breakfast- people can’t seem to follow arrows so 2 queues formed making leaving with your tray uncomfortable as your route was blocked

Was not told the restaurant was closed or that work was being carried out. I was a lone person working away and expected the restaurant to be open as it was I had to go out and find somewhere to eat.

Have stayed here a few times. The rooms have been re-designed since my last visit - very modern, huge flat screen TV, semi open-plan bathroom (sink in the room). Sounds weird, but it works!

We visit this hotel regularly and always have a very positive experience. The rooms are clean and welcoming , although there is a little disruption at the moment with renovations . It is all handled efficiently , with very little impact on the Guests.. The staff are all friendly and professional and the overall stay was , as always , very good. Special thanks to Am and her staff for the wonderful breakfast with several new items on the hot buffet.

We travelled with extended family, including an elderly aunt, the staff were so friendly and very accomodating, the hotel is well located for the menin gate especially. There were building works going on during our stay but did not in any way spoil our experience, this is our second stay in this hotel but wont be our last.

Dear Sirs, my expirience with your hotel was quite strange. 1. How to find my room. I had to leave the Hotel and get arround the Corner into a strange door. Taking the Elevator to the third Floor. Nice Floor, but I could not find my room. Luckely I found the plan seeing that my room was behind a swing door. No sign on the door, that additional Rooms are behind the door. More than this the nice carpet Ends behind the swing door and I was getting in a dirty area. Coming from a nice area this was strange. 2. In the evening the Elevator was broken, but no stairs to get to the room. I had to go to Lobby using the Elevator there and walk thru the custruckton area to get to my room. 3. next morning Elevator was still broken and I had to find my way to the Service stairs. Getting to the Ground Floor I still did not know where to go as the papers giving direction were not on the wall I could see coming done the stairs but on the oposite side. so I had to turn 180 °. I found it on my way back from the wrong way I had taken. 4. Orange Juice was empty. It had been refilled, but not with orangejuice, it was Multi. No link to Show it. 5. Pancake maker. The ladle should have the size that is used, but the one was so big that a lot of dough was dripping out. I do not like to make a mess, but could help. 6. At check out they ask me if I had breakfast and want to charge me this as an extra. Only because I told, that breakfast was included in my room rate, they checked. Luckely I was not under so much preasure. The Explanation, that I have just Paid a Standard rate and that therefore I had to stay in the dirty area was somehow strange, because mid February I do not think that the hotel was totally booked. Being under construction I would assume, that the nice Rooms are used. I am traveling nearly every week and the Novotel Ieper is certainly one of my wirst expiriences. Best regards Joerg P.
