We arrived mid afternoon to spend one night in the town and see the 8pm ceremony of remembrance at the Menin Gate for the lads who died in the Ieper Salient in WW1. This is a very attractive town that I've visited on several occasions and the location of the hotel is perfect for wandering around the centre. Some nice pubs and restaurants close by. The hotel itself felt modern and well laid out. As with all Accor Hotels it is very clean and the room itself was immaculate. We chose to park in front of the adjacent church for €2 rather than the more expensive underground offering. The town is perfectly safe so no need for the secure option.
