While the hotel itself is clean, spacious and well laid out and definite option for a quality hotel stay in Ypres, the staff for the most part were friendly, though short in tolerance and abrupt in onsite communications. I appreciate at the time of our stay there were some major celebrations going on, but this does not excuse the shortness of staff communication with the guests. To confirm, it just wasn't us we felt this, we saw it occurring with other guests. Aside from that, this hotel remains the best hotel option for Ypres we feel and well worth the stay at given it is only a 2-minute walk to the main street (visible from where the hotel is situated)

We stayed one night and were happy with the hotel. There was a minor problem with the room but the staff sorted it out very quickly. We bought breakfast which was nice but a little bit expensive

We liked the innovative room layout: shower & loo in separate cubicles, and an exposed basin that makes it feel more spacious. We were also happy to find that our room had a view of trees across the road. Also we could store our touring bicycles securely inside the hotel ground floor which is a definite plus - it would be great if this information was included in every hotel description as a filter to make it easier to know when making a booking.

Stayed for 3 nights for world war 1 battlefields trip. Excellent location, lovely staff, the room was unbelievably large, clean, comfortable and equipped with kettle, fridge, safe, (usual provisions).Breakfast was great and staff very polite. A superb experience.

This hotel is extremely well located to visit the surrounding area as well as the beautiful town of Ypres. There are many eateries within a 1-5 minute walk as well as shops and other entertainment. The Menin Gate is also a short walk from the hotel where the Last Post is performed daily at 8pm, although it is advisable to be there quite early as crowds soon formed. The hotel is very comfortable and clean, with helpful staff that spoke English well. Breakfast included cooked as well as fruit, pastries and cold meats and cheeses. A very good selection that was replenished often. The seating area was also kept clear and clean with ample choice of free tables/chairs. There is an on-site bar that served both bottled and draft beers but apart from wine or a couple of cocktails, the choice of other spirits was somewhat limited if you didn't drink gin. Tea/coffee facilities were in the spacious rooms with a fridge and a nice coffee machine, along with instant sachets and tea bags. The selection in my room were all fruit teas but I managed to find breakfast tea bags at the coffee machine at breakfast. Milk sachets were limited to one each per person per day in the room and extras were available from reception. These were offered only 2 or 3 at a time so I did need to ask several times. This is only a very minor criticism as the whole stay was fantastic

As always our stay was great. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are modern , comfortable and clean. Breakfast is plentiful and varied with a large selection of hot and cold food. The hotel is situated very close to the Grote Market with a large selection of Restaurants. Also close to the Menin Gate. Would highly recommend this hotel.
