I’m a regular Mercure guest and generally appreciate the brand’s consistent standards, but this stay fell short of what I’ve come to expect. While the heavy construction on the street in front of the hotel was beyond the hotel’s control, the property itself is clearly in need of maintenance and renovation. The bathroom tiles are old and stained, the room door shows rot at the bottom, and the hinges are heavily corroded. The TV is an outdated non-smart model. I had prepaid for breakfast, which felt overpriced for the selection. The only hot item was scrambled eggs, the French pastries tasted stale, and there was a very limited choice of fruit — most of it past its best. This is meant as constructive feedback. I normally enjoy Mercure hotels and hope this property can be brought back up to the brand’s usual level.

The hotel is well located, but unfortunately there is major construction on the street directly in front of the property, and it does not appear that it will be finished anytime soon. This caused several of our Uber rides to be delayed or canceled because drivers could not access the area easily. During our 4-day stay, our room was never serviced. Staff would come to clean around 4 p.m., which was exactly when we were returning to the hotel, making it impractical. The breakfast was also very disappointing. The quality of the food is quite low, with cheap products and very little attention to presentation or freshness. Overall, this was a disappointing stay. I would not return or recommend this hotel.
